The practice pitch got delayed until tomorrow when I have the day off work. Laid out the footprint to see how just how big it actually is and was pretty surprised at just how huge it is, at least there will be lots of space. Had to use a patch of grass near my house as my garden wasn't big enough

Thanks however its going back as just noticed some of the stiching is coming undone and there are small holes where the needle has been which i'm assuming will let in water, to say i am annoyed is an understatement as this is a replacement for another faulty tent i'm going to be getting my money back and going else where.  I've contacted Vango direct as i'm concerned that we are being sold "seconds" advertised as new and thats why the price was so low :(

That's a shame wendy, its a pity bluepoolshark didn't post a link to where he got his Orchy 600 and footprint from.

Got mine from Yeoman's when we went to the Camping and Caravan Show at the NEC in Feb..

I got mine from the same place as Wendy, Gaynors. Didn't notice any problems with mine but then didn't look too hard, gonna have a another practice so will check it over then,

Did the practice pitch and all went ok, if a little longer than the stated 20mins, but for a first ever attempt at pitching a tent, I think it went well!!

That's understandable wendy, and the Icarus is a very popular tent and from what I read its very easy to pitch as well.

I'd give your Orchy a good look over bluepoolshark if you got it from the same place as wendy, I sure It will be fine but you don't want to go away and find something up with it really..

Well, my first ever camping experience is over and we loved it. The Orchy was fantastic for the 4 days, went up extremely quickly the second time and provided more than enough space for the 3 of us. Can't wait to use it again!!

This is a bit premature as I don't even have the tent yet. Ordered an Orcy 600 and premium extension. Only ever once owned a bug tent before which got 'lost' in a friends house. The Orchy looks to be a good roomy tent and I know the make is good. Looking forward to it arriving and getting off camping with the grandchildren the week after next.
