Hi

We have just got an eternity 600 and canopy - so will be great yo swap experiences of it.

I haven't put it up yet and have been concerned about all the negative reviews on here.

Has anyone got any pitching tips to reduce the water collection etc.?

Also what is the correct Psi? The instructions say 4 but Vango say 7.

Any info would be much appreciated

Thanks

Thank you so much for the reply's, I really think the Eternity is the tent for us, we love the design with the big windows and straight front.

I asked about the psi when I was talking to a Vango tech at Winfields and he said never inflate to 7psi. I asked if there is different psi ratings for the eternity with it being bigger beams but he reckoned it didn't. However I'm more confused now than ever, does anyone from Vango come on these forums? I told the chap at Winfields that someone had an email from Vango telling them to inflate to 7 psi but still wouldn't have it.

Who knows lol, although 1k plus on this tent and canopy makes it not a laughing matter!

Anyone have more info on deals? did you get one? please pm if you don't want to post it on here, it might put a stop to it if they see the post.

Cheers

I got mine from Bristol Camping - they did a good deal with the eternity 600 with carpet and footprint (835).

Yes - the psi thing is very confusing. The emails I got were straight from Vango/AMG saying to inflate to 7 psi.

Thanks

if the airbeam eternity 600 seems like the right tent for you just go for it......

granted some people have had problems like me, but to be honest you run that risk with whatever tent you buy, no supplier seems to have a 100% record when it comes to quality lately.

regarding the PSI. issue vango have now updated their official pitching instructions on their website.

405

as said we had issues but to be honest couldnt really fault the final customer care we recieved as had no problems returning ours. so buy from a reputable supplier and in the unfortunate event of any problems you will be fine. 17

Thanks for the information as when we bought our tent about a month ago the advice both from the guy in the shop and vango website was not to inflate past 4psi.The regulator on the pump prevents you from doing this however ours has now broken so it means we can pump past this....its a bit confusing as i thought the problems they had last year was because 5 psi was too much and had issues with heat exploding the beams so going to 7 seems a little odd but kinda make sense as our beams at 4 did seem to sag from time to time. Will maybe inflate to 6 next time and see if thats alot better.

I have the Infinity 600 plus side canopy and I love it! The speed of pitching means that weekend camping is so easy and convenient for us. I know I can pitch this tent on my own in a very short time. I even took mine into school last week and pitched it for my year 5 class. We had a fantastic morning of camping on our school field and I am sure that I have influenced some future campers to have a go! I have had no problems whatsoever with my tent apart from the fact that Winfields sold me last year's model at this year's price which offended me a bit, especially when I learnt how the tents have been improved this year... but they gave me a free carpet as recompense! If I could choose again, I would probably buy the Infifnity 800 or go the whole hog with the Shangri La... but that's another story...

If I had the money it would be the tent for me. Ease and speed of pitching would be a huge bonus.

Hi

We bought an infinity 600 the first year they came out and we loved it, but the beams leaked. Whether that was to do with them not telling the correct psi to blow it up we don't know. But there was so many people with dodgy ones we just sent it back and kept our trusty Montana 6. We looked at karsten's but they are too expensive for us. We bought a weekend tent instead but after two leaking Vango Calistos we bought an Outwell and vowed never to buy a Vango (that's 3 new leaking Vango's in a row). Anyway our local camp shop said that Outwell are developing their own inflatable tent. So I would wait until that comes out, they thought it was just around the corner so maybe 2013 or 2014. They are not rushing it out like Vango so it should be better designed and better quality as all of Outwell tents are in my opinion. When Outwell bring out an inflatable tent we'll have our cash ready!

Images would be great but if the beams were solid then that's fine, if the corners were pegged out nice and taught then that's fine. If the fabric was wet etc it will sag as will all polyester tents and will flap around and make a noise as per all polyester tents. You can adjust the guy ropes to tighten the tent up etc.
Have you had a polyester tent of this size before, if you have this will not come as a surprise.

Hi Gary, yes i've got a Regatta premium 4 and it was nothing like this,I pegged out,all tight airbeams solid and guylines tight yet there seemed to be waves in the roof but as everything was tight i couldn't do anything to get rid of them,my tent looked like it had been pitched by a complete beginner not a seasoned camper. Are the airbeams in ur display like this?
