Hi folks
Can anyone recommend a 5 man polycotton tent (inflatable) that is not incredibly large and heavy. I am keen on a tunnel design and the Vango Solace 400 seemed okay but a bit small. The next Vango Illusion 500xl too large and heavy at 51kg! I know there will be a Vango Solace 500xl at ~48kg next year - so that might fit the bill.
I have an Outwell at present and keen to get quality/reliability and ease of pitching and don't mind paying a little more for to get a tent that works well.

We are not a large family and have limited boot space - so keen to get the smallest 5-man that is comfortable for 4 for 4-5 nights.

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

Hello and welcome, sadly all polycotton Airbeams are quite bulky and heavy. Have you looked at any yet, first port of call is to get along to a display or show, the camping and caravan show at the NEC is a god place to start.

You don't give a location so can't recommend dealers, but if your in the hertfordshire/cambs areas go along to Cross Camping.linky lots of help and advice from Gary

Have a look at the Kampa range as well

Thank you Duffs . We will have a good display of what you are after next spring. There is a tent from Zempire that fits what you are after at about 36kg. The Areo TL polycotton... If you were local you could call in and I could show you all the 2019 trade workbook or give me a call next weekend 0176326255 as I'm off this week.

Gosh, sorry for not replying earlier. I will definitely take a look at those suggestions in the spring.

Take a look at the Kampa Hayling Clasic 6 air[/URL] I would say at about 35kg it would be perfect. Also its a comfortable 4to5 berth. You can even buy extras to zip onto the front if you are going away for extended trips. We only have a couple of 2018 package deals left at a reduced price. The 2019 model is 99% the same.
