Residential sites with proper Park Homes intended for use as permanent homes are now covered by very different legislation to holiday homes, which was not the case when I had mine. They now have much greater security.
Holiday homes, or static caravans as they are usually known, are still subject to the whims of the site owner, who can apparently do what they like, when they like. It would be great if this changed, but I very much doubt if it will. I like static caravans, and have rented them for holidays, but I would never own one for the above reason. Without a site they are worthless, and I have seen some very nice ones sold (unsited) on ebay for less than £200.
Growing older is compulsory, growing up is optional.
