FionaW, I hope you'll agree with me disagreeing with you but use this road both ways regularly and was never severely held up by the Pulpit Rock lights.
Not a specific response to FionaW, generally, to me and many, both locals and regular long distance drivers, the bends are much worse, coupled with the stupidity of some drivers who can see a coach or artic coming towards them on the wrong side of the road round those bends who don't slow down, or even stop if necessary to give them the space to manoeuvre round the bend.
As for the narrow bridges, a lot of people can't seem to work out closing speeds. This is also true further up the A82 with the Rannoch moor bridges - the number of door mirrors lying either side of these is unbelievable.
I suspect many will not get the Press & Journal newspaper, but the article below has some sobering statistics regarding RTCs and that's only Bridge of Orchy northbound on A82 and none of the fatalities and road closures further south on the A82.
