We love wild camping so the more remote and wild the location the better, can anyone recommend a camping site that fits the bill? Thanks.

Recommending such places tends to lead to them getting spoilt (assuming you don't mean an actual 'camp site' as that wouldn't be wild camping).

I expect most of us could give you areas but not specific spots. As Spiritbirner says advertising specific places could lead to overuse and getting trashed.

Sorry I didnít make myself clear, I did mean a campsite as wife now likes a few creature comforts but wanted somewhere a bit more remote. :-)

The Faraway pitches at Beech Estate Campsite.

Try a weekday at Lordswood.

Both these are Sussex / Kent

We were at Badrallach camping and Bothy last week - https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=8294

It's remote, tranquil and the bothy gives it a real community feel.

It would help us if you said how many hours drive you're happy to do. There are plenty of such places, but there's no point our taking the time to recommend places in the far north west of Scotland (other areas are equally highly rated, I'm just using there as an example), if you want to keep within 2 hours from Dorset, for example.

Not really bothered about how far away it is, so Scotland is fine 😊

Use the site search map on UKCS and check out Kintyre e.g. Carradale looking over to Arran, and several by the beach on the west coast. But it'll take at least another 2 hours from Glasgow. Mull is beautiful - arriving by ferry always feels remote, and the sites there aren't big, but again it's 2 hours from Glasgow to Oban plus the ferry; bring your bikes and add a day cycling around Iona. Or head up towards Ullapool & go north or south from there - it won't be dark until past midnight at the moment. Or be really really adventurous & go up to Shetland.
Just don't underestimate the time needed to drive on "remote" roads, especially the single track ones. Or expect a good mobile phone signal - some places have zero signal, pleasant if you want to detox, a nuisance if you're needing to keep in touch with business or family. There is so much choice in GB & Ireland, the difficulty will be deciding.

Have a look at Fidden Farm on Mull.
