Not wishing to hijack The Heart200 thread, Please let me recommend the little mentioned North East 250 route which, as the name suggests, covers much of the Grampian region (primarily Aberdeenshire and Moray).
It could be tagged on to the Heart200 or perhaps even the NW500.
Looking at the map, I might have chosen a slightly different route to take in the upper Spey valley, but the opportunity exists to alter the route to suit your tastes.
I also always recommend the Undiscovered Scotland site that has very comprehensive information, photos etc. in an easy to use interactive format.
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

Thanks for the reminder! You’ve made a good point.
There’s an equivalent in Dumfries & Galloway too - but I’m not convinced its route is the ideal one and I don’t think it’s caught on much. I’ll look at the NE one again with interest. Thanks again.
