We are a group of dads from 2 schools in Surrey. Each year we take our kids camping. JUST DADS AND KIDS. The association has been doing this for 35 years. our numbers are between 100 and 150 historically. We bring a large refrigeration unit that needs power. We have 2 x 40Ft Marquees. 1 for catering and 1 for seating. we need to have a large camp fire and our dates are 22nd-24th Jul 2022. But committee arrive 2 days before to set up.

We are loud, ( we have a real ale tent) the kids do play football etc and therefore we would need our own field.
We normally go to a pub on the friday night ( we warn them first on our numbers) but taking ÔŅĹ3000+ in an evening our old bar set up a menu for us and pulled in extra staff.
We have a kids talent show on saturday night
We have a tug of war and world egg catching championships on sunday.

Our old site has gone for development and we need a new home

South of England. ideally on the coast and within 2 hours of Surrey

Try the Camp Site Search on this forum, with Specialised Camp Site filter set for Rally Fields, I've roughly set it up for you with South/South East England on this link, reset it to your own requirements:

Good luck.

Try these people, who host private camping festivals. Not by the coast though, between Salisbury and the New Forest. Donít know how much they charge, bound to be more than a Ďback to basicsí field but you could save money in marquee hire https://www.tenantry.co.uk/

Try Birchwood Tourist Park, near Wareham, Dorset as they have a big field for groups near the playing field, and close to a pub with direct access to Wareham Forest.

However, they do have wardens on site 24/7 and are quite strict about noise after 23:00h.

Iím wondering about places that host THSs (club Temporary Holiday Sites) or district club meets. Up here, for example, a university campus has these regularly on playing fields. Other places include race courses and rugby clubs. A country park near us has a dedicated area for groups, though itís not near a pub.
Itís certainly a lot of people, more than a scout group. However, I canít help specifically: itís not an area I know.

Liam, where did you go in previous years? Will they have you back? Or not?

It might be worth contacting a local scout group as they will be used to taking kids on camping trips and might know of some suitable local places for you.

A scout camp is a good call.

I know it is in London, which sounds mad, but this place is great, I have taken groups of kids camping there. Surrounded by woods.
