I fancied a short break in South West Scotland in a couple of weeks. While I didn't think there'd be any problem with space I thought I'd be courteous and email them to book. The site is listed on here as taking tents. The site's website has a price list for tents for 2021. Their response to my booking enquiry? "We don't take tents".

Thanks Castle Bay Holiday Park for wasting my time. Is there a way of reporting site listings on here that are works of fiction?!

very odd as they include tents on their price list, however they dont have any with ehu, and this is from their web site that clearly says prices for 2021

As has been said, use the “contact us” tab. That can be an exposed windy site for a tent anyway. If you’re still looking, try Silvercraigs at Kirkcudbright because you book your specific pitch via their user-friendly website & they have a new wee kitchen pod for tenters (though I’ve not used it). Reviews on the listing.

Thanks, I'll use the contact us tab.

I'll have a look at Silvercraigs, I've stayed at Drumroamin before too who welcome tents, even last year when many places didn't.

Drumroaming is good, agreed. There are quite a few sites that take tents in the SW & get better reviews than your original choice.

Aye, I just fancied Portpatrick for the location, I generally avoid "holiday park" type sites. I've got three possibilities, will decide later!

Silvercraigs won't let you choose your pitch now,we been going for last few years and booked in February for July this yr,Colin who runs site said things were changing and price gone up only by £2 still great value,we was lucky and got front pitch.
