Unfortunately the backpack trip I had planned earlier this year had to be cancelled.
I ended up with a chest infection that I could not shift for 3 months. Even after several double doses of antibiotics.
My lungs are knacked anyway but I still try to push it and hope to do the backpack next summer. It won't be any distance too talk of but its just to experience that backpacking/camping experience.
I just got hold of a used once Force10 Carbon Helium 200 that comes in at just under one kilo. Which will replace my Vango Apex 200.
Fingers crossed for this year!
Sounds like you stopped smoking before it got too bad, well done.
