I have seen them at some of the big Motorhome and Caravan shows in the past. I've just looked at the list of exhibitors for the next show (Pickering in July) and they aren't listed. 

 

I can't understand if they have gone out of business why they are still accepting orders. Perhaps their website is automated and they haven't turned it off?

Just an update on our progress so far with Four Ways Leisure.

 I wrote to the company and sent letter by registered post and have traced delivery with unreadable signature. Following this our phone rang on Wednesday afternoon. On answering it there was no one there!!  On checking found that it was Four Ways telephone number.

 My husband then rang them. The gentleman he spoke to gave no name but said he had received two drive away awnings in that afternoon, one red and one blue, he would be sending ours by carrier and guaranteed next day delivery (Thursday). As yet - no sign of any parcel and once again no reply on the phone.

 Has any one else had any success yet?

I've spoken to the guy again as well.

He promised it would be with me today and he would give me free chemicals.

I'm going to order from another company and refuse delivery when it comes and when on holiday next week, I'm going to take a 100 mile drive to get my money back.

Police - no help

Has anyone has success with trading standards?

I'VE CALLED HIM DAY AND NIGHT 7 DAYS A WEEK UNTIL I'VE GOT MY MONEY REFUNDED.

HIS NAME IS JONATHON HURST MOBILE NUMBER 07754784317

I'VE DOWNLOADED HIS COMPANY ACCOUNTS AND THERE SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING A BIT FISHY.

HIS COMPANY SECRETARY JUST RESIGNED ALSO HIS DAUGHTER WHO WAS A DIRECTOR HAS RESIGNED AND THE REGISTERED OFFICE THAT WAS HIS ACCOUNTANTS HAS BEEN MOVED THIS FRIDAY TO AN OFFICE BUILDING THAT I WILL PUT A STRONG GUESS THAT IT'S JUST MAIL BOXES.

IF I WAS TO PUT A BET ON THIS BUSINESS, I WOULD SAY IT'S GOING UNDER

WHEN I CALLED HIM I ALSO TOLD HIM I WOULD BE WITHIN 50 MILES ON HOLIDAY NEXT WEEK AND I WAS COMING TO GET MY MONEY THE EASY OR HARD WAY.

Thanks for the mobile phone number Chris.

The main phone was also being answered on Monday. So keep trying.

We have now been successful and received our order (complete and fit for purpose).

It's been really helpful to read other's postings & know we weren't up against it on our own.

If the company had been upfront in the beginning, told the truth, that for whatever reason stocks would be delayed, I'm sure people would have had patience and waited. A courtesey phone call would have done wonders.

Certainly no way to run a business.  Incidently the parcel was delivered by the postman, not as I'd been told by a courier. However, our goods are here and we've learned one thing from this. No matter now friendly, family orientated and knowledgeable people seem on a pitch. If we want anything else, we take it away with us.

We have since found a similar awning, bigger and cheaper in the 3M's mag and at a location local to us.

I'm pleased you got your purchases in the end ruthnles but please don't let this bad experience with one trader put you off using other small businesses that attend the shows

I've used a select few that I see every time and have always received excellent advice and service.So many people use the shows to get advice, compare products and use the opportunity to actually see products in the flesh and then go away and track down the cheapest price on the internet.These internet traders (who don't attend shows) have far fewer overheads.

This company are really struggling - I would think twice before making any orders. I've been sent a Kampa Porch awning which we ordered in May and wasn't sent in time for our holiday. I cancelled the order by phone and numerous emails (no replies of course). They then sent it anyway with no contact or attempt to see if we still wanted it 6 weeks later... In my experience, they tell you they've done things but do nothing. They won't entertain a refund so we're stuck with an awning we don't want. Any offers?

i have just had a refund from my credit card company for goods i orderd in april.what a load of rubish this company is.why are they still trading,the law should have put a stop on them long ago.i know one thing crime does pay.we pay for the police to protect us from being ripped off in this way, but what do they do nothing.anyway i am off this week for 2 weeks camping hope you all get your goods or your money back soon.               home is where you park it.

I've informed the police, but as above crime does pay.

The only thing more useless than this company was the police.

If anyone goes to the police advise them that others previously have with no reply!!!!!

I ordered a tent from them, he took out all identifying paperwork and once the tent was erected discovered it was the wrong tent - telephoned on the Tuesday - got an answer and was told money would be refunded. Still waiting. Letter of complaint faxed to them and trading standards - will let you know how I get on. Wish I had seen this site before I had anything to do with them.

I was very surprised to see Fourways Leisure at the motorhome show in Pickering at the weekend - set up and selling! I only hope that the people who ordered from them at the show get a better service than the poor punters who have posted on this thread.

Hi,

I ordered a wheel clamp 4 months ago.  I have never received the goods or a refund. I have contantly phoned, written and emailed. I have been made many promises about refunds and none have materialesed.

I have just spoken to Jon who confirmed that they, Fourways leisure, will be at the Malvern Show Fri,Sat,Sun this week (14-16 Aug). I cannot beleive that they will be taking more innocent peoples hard earned money and most likely not providing the goods or a refund.

I am considering visiting the show, standing outside of their stand and informing people not to part with any money to this company, I may even make up some leaflets. What do you think? Anyone fancy joining me? Perhaps we could force them into refunds this way?

hi,

after seeing the message from matt above i phoned the organisers of the show at malvern and told them the story about fourways leisure and said that they should not be allowed to trade as they take your money but do not send the goods.i told them to look at this web site and read what we say about fourways , and you will know what they are like.

i will be going to the show to see for myself what these crooks look like.and confront them .i will support anyone who will take action to stop them getting away with this and stop them trading.

the organisers of the show said they will look into this matter.

i will keep you all up to date on this.

hope the weather improves next week i am off to devon camping for two weeks.

You may also be interested to know that the company has had two CCJ's added at Companies House, one on the 21/7 and one on 27/7. I do not know what for other than the obvious of not paying their bills.

I did speak to Milenco directly who were very helpful about my clamp order through caravanonlineshop. They also confirmed that something was going on with the company and that they too were owed money.

I have told Jonothan that I will file a small claim court claim against his company if I do not get a refund within 7 days. He did not seem that bothered but I WILL NOT LET THIS GO. It is 94.50 of my hard earned money, and unfortunatley below the level that my card company will refund.
