Just had some really good service from The Caravan Shop Glasgow. I ordered my stuff on Sunday evening and it all arrived this morning. I had emails sent at every stage which is always comforting. And the prices were better than anywhere else. Also they were the only ones that I could find that had one item in stock (a single Milenco Quattro Level). I can thoroughly recommend them.

Another vote here for the Caravan Shop in Glasgow, brilliant service and the keanest of prices. Its the smallest of shop fronts but must be like Alladins cave inside. Been past yesterday and wanted to call in but could't get parked so will continue to use their on-line great service.

Is this the "wee" shopfront on the Great Western Road?

Well actually we are not. You see, we only have the Glasgow Shop. The next nearest caravan accessory shop for me is on the road between Dundee and Perth and it got burnt down last year!!!!

Yup.

I think Duncans at Wishaw would be nearer than that Lobey. Or that place near Livingston.

Thanks Jennifer.

Duncan's is 64.3 miles.
Livingston is 75.4 miles.

Internet is 6 inches.

But I must say, when we go up to Glasgow we make a point of stopping at the caravan shop on the way home.

How far is it for you to the one beyond Perth? Have they not opened up again now?

What did we do before we had the internet for shopping?

We are lucky in that our daughter stays just a few minutes along the road from The Caravan Shop, so can shop for us if necessary. Or we can use our bus passes and nip down there!

Hi Jennifer, we used the Glasgow one all the time unless we were away somewhere and found a caravan accessory shop during our travels.

They do seem to be more prolific in England.

As far as I can gather, the new premises at Perthshire Caravans is not opened yet. It is about 90 miles from us and we generally only go there when we are staying in the area.

We have not really needed the service of caravan accessory places since we bought our latest caravan as it came with everything included.

As our previous caravan had been a right off, we are left in the happy state of having two of most things and indeed 3 or 4 of some things.

Nowadays, anything we are buying accessory wise, tends to be simply more luxurious types of the same thing.
A far cry from struggling with the "pass me downs" that we had been using for the previous 30 years.

If we were going to Perthshire Caravans we would be overnighting at Auchterarder Caravan Park and then we would be within 26 miles of the place.

Overland Caravans at Larbert is 28 miles from Auchterarder, but 60 miles from where we live.

Because of where we stay, the postage charges for online goods is still a huge saving on the fuel costs of going to a normal accessory store.
But we will continue to haunt these if we come across them in our travels.

By the by, The Glasgow Caravan Centre is an easy walk from Kelvinbridge Subway Station which also has a large Car Park beside it.

Enter that car park by cutting off Gt Western Road and down Park Road, then first right into W. Princes Lane and the car park entrance is facing you at the bottom of the lane.
