Just been reading the other thread on wobbly tables which reminded me after our recent trip to France we need a table we can get our legs under properly. We used a folding rectangular aluminium table. It has those crisscross supporting bars on all four sides so we cant get our legs under so found we were sitting to far from the table. So am now looking for a table suitable for up to 4 adults. I like the Lafuma and Dukdalf ones but am also tempted by the Kampa Hi/Low table as it looks a similar design but is cheaper. Pack size isnt really an issue as its to use with the motorhome where theres plenty of storage.

Any recommendations?

Folding Aluminium Camping Table this is the table we have and it folds away flat and fits in our car boot and takes up no room if you put it on the bottom of the car boot floor.

I'd be interested in the findings too - as we (well my OH) have same problem ...

If you look at the original thread here there are some good suggestions, look at the one by Annepearson and speical_K.
If space wasn't an option I'd be looking at the special_k one, think they do something in Costco.

Hi Christine

I've been monitoring that thread too. Unfortunately they are all rectangular or have support mechanisms that mean that you can't sit someone on all sides. What we are after is a square 70cmx70cm sized table (so will fit within our weekend as well as bigger tent) that is not wobbly, has adjustable height legs, doesn't stop your legs from getting under and that 3 of us can sit at.... Surely, there must be something out there.

Our current one - the Royal vari-height alu roll up table is great in size and adjustable but my OH can't get his legs under and it wobbles without using cardboard as wedges on the legs.

The Kampa medium low-high table had also caught our attention, but I can't get to see/test one, so feedback on this one would be useful!

Helen

We have one of these

Not cheap (not as expensive as this link though!), very sturdy and robust though, it should last for years. You can sit all the way around it and it's a decent height to use for food prep if you're tall.

Ours came from Attwoolls in Gloucester which I think is close to you.

We bought a similar one in the dutch camping shop we went to the other day and that was only around 30 Euros I think, but it is smaller

Hi

we  have just bought a Vango one. it is 120 x 60 x 50/69cm. The legs are all independantly adjustable so no more wobbling!

It was 40 and is one their website.

We just bough a folding one today by pyramid. It's called deluxe large folding table. It's adjustable height and seats six. It measures 150x80 cm. It cost 50 from glossop caravans. They make other sizes too.
It's very sturdy.

I found it in pyramids catalogue.

I have just purchased a 6ft and a 4ft From Bestbuys in Wellingboro. They are blow moulded tops and very sturdy. The 6ft was 49.99 and the 4ft was 29.99.

I'm very pleased with them. The 6ft stores smaller than the 4ft as it folds in half and the legs are in the middle, it also has a carry handle when folded.

I can't see them on their website http://www.best-buys.co.uk but I highly recommend both of them. I don't know who they are made by.

Hope this helps someone,

Mark

thanks all, got my eye on one near me on ebay but will have a look in Attwoolls this week to see what they've got.

Surfspud, thats a great price and am tempted but think its a bit too small for us unfortunately. Never seen that website before

Piglet, I like that table. We have the Dukdalf El paso chairs which we really rate so would have no hesitation in buying more Dukdalf stuff.

Speedcamp- we used to have an Ouwell Calgary M and I now regret getting rid of it (did sell it for the same as we paid though even though it was well used!) although it weighed a ton which was my main bug bear. Its probably slightly bigger than 70 x 70 but seated up to 4 adults, folded into a managable size and had adjustable legs.

I am tempted by this if it wasnt for the high P&P I might have bought it. I like the fact the top is waterproof and can seat people on all four sides.
