Got my Denver carpet to use as a picnic rug, bitterly disappointed though as it tapers a lot, i thought it was square. Gutted.

I got four Tucsons - great for bedroom pods, nice and square. I did contact them to ask for sizes but they were unable to help, so I looked around the web to see plans for living areas. I have an Icarus 600, and I will use 2 - there will be  a lot of overlap but at that price I don't care! I've stuck a silver 'emergency' blanket on the back for extra warmth, with some Ikea anti-slip matting. All set for next weekend - should be very toasty! I have a large -bedroom tent as well, so the spare carpets will come in useful on longer trips with that one.

I'm sure i looked up the living areas online and sorted out which one was square, however i think i may have got confused and ordered the wrong carpet. Live and learn.

Anyone have the Royal Vancouver or Winnipeg? What size and shape is the carpet in them? I ask because I would prefer green or brown to blue. Idealy 400 x250 or multiples to fit.

I think that they are missing a payday by not listing the sizes of these carpets. There's got to be more people who want carpets, than those who own these tents and want carpets!

How hard can it be to open a pack and measure it??

Hi CoolFox,

I just dug ours out (Winnipeg) and measured it for you.  It's approx 10' x 14'3" or 306cm x 436cm.  You'll sometimes find it listed to also fit the Bordeaux.  Hope this helps.

Thanks that great info. Hope it wasn't to much trouble

Again, I think they would sell loads of these carpets if they only took the trouble to add a little extra info!!

You're very welcome.  Glad to help

I really dithered over buying it last year when we'd just bought the tent and so much other gear.  It seemed so expensive and I couldn't even get the brown one I really wanted back then.  I looked into (and sought advice from the lovely helpful folks here) the possibilty of making a carpet.  I also searched for a cheaper option by researching the living space sizes of countless other large tents, which took me ages.  I totally agree it's a proper pain that the manufacturers/retail outlets don't list carpet sizes.  I wonder why?  If anyone here sells them, can you shed any light on the matter, please?  Just curious...

Thanks for posting this. I ordered and got delivery of a winnipeg 6 one. To go in my trailer tent - who could resist.

I googled the tents or went on here to find the dimension of the lounge area, then ordered the one nearest in size. A lot of them are funny shapes and not rectangular...

Thanks again.

Hi again,

Thanks for your link, No Faff.  When I was trying to find the cheapest option for a carpet last year, I looked at other brands too and that was what took the time, as none of the brands have the carpet sizes listed.  I had to find the carpets, see if I liked the colour and price, then to find the respective tent and its dimensions for each of countless ones I looked at.  It would have been so much quicker to see the measurements listed with the various carpets.

Just reading back through the posts I'm worried in case it wasn't clear my measurements are for the Winnipeg 6 carpet, as No Faff's link points the the smaller Winnipeg 4, so please make sure you get the best one for you, CoolFox.

Here is a piccy of the Royal Denver carpet I bought the other day.  It measures 220 cm where the tape is laying and about 280 cm across.  It does chamfer in as you can see but this should be Ok for my new tent.

Photobucket'>

Hope this helps.  Very pleased with the carpet - lovely soft feel to it.  I bought two for my new Djakarta - I will have to adjust one but for this price - who cares!  Also, I do not like most greens but my daughter insisted so was pleasantly surprised when the carpet arrived and wasn't the colour of dog vomit.  It's more of a grey-green - very sublte and 'nice'.

Well I was going to order two Tuscan carpets, but last night, three hours after the site quoting a stock of 212, they were out of stock!

They are being snapped up at a rate.

So I managed to grab two of the Denver carpets as in the above pic!

Also added 9 packs of groundhog rock pegs - 4 for 1.45. Halfords, where I bought 24 from last month, sell them for 3.99 for 8. So 2.90 for 8 was a bargain.

I now have 30 Deltas and 60 groundhogs. I think I'm sorted for pegs!!
