If anyone, anywhere, finds a Ring RAC750 pump for sale, would you please give me a shout? They have been discontinued, so it's a matter of finding somewhere with residual stock...

They're supposedly on clearance at B&Q but theres none near me and no way of checking stock elsewhere (not necessarily hoping to find a bargain, though it would be nice).

Thanks.

There's one at B&Q Bishopbriggs.

Sorry, unfortunately not.

It's the only one that comes up with stock, but I don't know the distance parameters that B&Q uses.

Thanks for that Ancient Uncle but I've already tried them and they're out of stock.

The B&Q website isn't offering me a store stock-check option and telephoning just provides access to a recorded message then cuts off.

If anyone sees one for sale anywhere (not just B&Q), please give me a shout.

Thanks

lidds when you went in to 'check the stock in your local store' did you uncheck 'Only show nearby stores with stock', when I did this it came up with more stores, unfortunately it still only shows Bishopbriggs have one in stock.

Thanks, Blue.

I went into store and a nationwide stock check revealed one in Preston store and two in Speke, as well as the one you've mentioned in Bishopbriggs. I was provided with direct phone numbers for the stores but it turns out no B&Q stores actually have them in stock.

I've tried lots of other retailers too but found no residual stocks anywhere.

Lidds, is the RAC750ís replacement the RTC6000 a suitable alternative? Think some Karsten owners have bought those instead, but not sure how they got on. We still have the 750. Been using it for 7 years on Karstens so not sure how long it will continue to last

I'm just a bit wary of the RTC6000 Jim after our experience with the Ryobi rechargeable (which surely should be better?). It seemed great first outing but just couldn't cope after that.

It's a shame the RAC750 has been discontinued. You'd think there would be one in stock somewhere, but apparently not.

The next best reliable option seems to be a decent 12v pump and battery, but given that it's main use will be for inflating the tent in the garden (where there's no access to the vehicle) it's going to be rarely used, I don't want to get a big leisure battery.

Itís shame when a trusted product gets withdrawn. I wonder what CTS recommend.

Is it worth an email to Ring to ask for a list of stockists close to you that did actually stock it, some of these places maybe don't have a website.

I've done that already Blue. They said it was discontinued in 2019 and they have distributor lists but not stock lists, so it's just a matter of ringing around.

I think I've about exhausted this search now. Thanks for your help and suggestions.

They recommend the T-Max 12v pumps Jim. It appears there's no longer a 230v option.

You'd think Karsten might have one made under licence, wouldn't you?
