What's everyone's favourite caravan/camping item or gadget that they have bought and wouldn't be without ?
Anyone have any usual things that they always take along with them on trips ?

Not sure I would call it a favourite gadget, but I recently bought an awning pole tensioner and used it for the first time recently. It certainly makes the job much easier.

Folding aluminium stools-come-side tables...

After the tent (obvs), megamats and table. I like to be comfortable.

OH optional

I suppose it qualifies as a gadget, it's certainly an item!

My Caravan Motor Mover!

Talk about money well spent! I can just about shove my 1300Kg van around on my own, if the ground is suitable (and how often is that the case!), but I'm too old, too wise, and too lazy to do so willingly when I have the option of effortless, precision positioning via remote control!

Solar panels + refillable gas bottle. Opens up so many more options for where to stay.

I agree Monty.

They really aren't a gimmick are they. Once you have had one they really become a must have as it makes life so much easier for parking the caravan, levelling the caravan and even moving the caravan to the towbar without someone pushing too hard and scratching your car bumper!!

I totally agree about motor movers. I was lucky enough to find one fitted with them already, and at the price I paid for it they probably accounted for most of that. My caravan weighs just under 1,000kg and that is more than I really want to have to push and pull around at my age. Pushing a few buttons for precision positioning is fine by me.

Agree on motor mover, very useful as vans are heavier and I'm getting older

Another vote for motor mover and our Lock n Level - so much easier than ramps, and definitely more fun!
