Does anyone have any recommendations for a site that has flumes, lazy river, is walking distance to town AND a beach (sea, river or lake)? I can find lots that tick 2 or 3 boxes but not all four. Ideally, it should be South Brittany or Vendee area but would we consider elsewhere. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had spotted that one as a possibility but we stayed very close to there this year (Domaine de Leveno, Guerande) so would like to be just a few miles north or south so we are in unchartered territory.

Sounds like hell on earth to me mate, a quiet field in Scotland would be better.

LOL!

Unfortunately, the quiet field in Scotland wouldn't go down well with the 13 year old and 18 year old!

Sometimes having a very specific wish list (lazy river) helps narrow it down! My sonís for next year is campsite must have an animal shaped bouncy castle 😁.
Have been scouring campsite website galleries!

Only site weíve been on with a lazy river was in the Loire (Marais) but doesnít fit the rest of your wish list or Tropical Islands in Berlin. Wrong country.

Sorry - not much help!

Thanks. We always find it hard to tick every box. We've been to Marais and really liked it. We also need to be near some interesting big cities. Last year at Domaine de Leveno, we had a great pool and the area was good but we missed somewhere to go for an evening walk and wished we had been closer to a beach for an evening stroll and drink in local bar. I've got my eye on Les Menhirs in Carnac which is near beach and town but there's no lazy river and I LOVE a lazy river.

try this one in jard sur mer, Vendee

https://www.chadotel.com/en/camping/vendee/jard-sur-mer/camping-loceano-dorhttp://

its in the town, has a lazy river, water slides and has a beach within a walking distance.

we stayed there in 2016, the only box it doesnt tick is the pitches are not serviced which i like because then i dont have to fill the aquaroll everyday and empty the waste water...although the shower pipe drained into the hedge, which must have been good for the hedge.

we are stayiing at les brunelles next year and did this year which is about 5 minutes away by car. it has a really fantastic water park but isnt in the town.

Les Pirons in Les Sables D'Olonne ticks 3.5 of your 4 boxes - great pool complex, slides, indoor lazy river, 5 mins walk to the (mostly rocky) coast, 5 mins walk to the small village shops of La Pironniere (mini-supermarket, bakery, bar-tabac, etc), 5 mins walk to a few restaurants and a 45 min walk or 10 min drive or a 10 min bus journey (bus stop at La Pironniere shops) to Les Sables D'Olonne town centre for all the beaches, shops and restaurants you could ever need.

thats a handy link SG there are many fantasic campsites in the Vendee looking at that.

i am booked in to https://www.campingfrance.com/uk/find-your-campsite/pays-de-la-loire/vendee/longev........

next summer and was there last august.

if the OP has kids this is a fantastic site.

the closest beach is sandy and can be accessed on foot through the woods. there are many water slides, 13 in total but 2 are full on tubes, one with a space bowl which is great fun, espacially when my youngest launches himeself after me then overtakes me in the space bowl.

the only box it doesnt tick is the fact that its not in a town. Jard sur mer can be driven to in 5 minutes and long ville sur mer can be reached by push bike.

its a fantastic campsite with all sorts for children, which is why i go. a large area of trampolines and boncy castles, kids clubs for varous age ranges, Discos restaurant, takaway etc...

all a would say is that the serviced pitches are not big enough for large twin axle caravans. mine was 8Mx8.5m and my caravan is 7.5m long and it took a lot of motor moving to get it in.

MS vacances run Les Brunelles and have other places.

Much as see the need to please the kids, perhaps your choices are little too specific! Afterall how much pleasure can one get from a lazy river! Buy an inflatable tyre and sit in it in the sea....far more exciting!
Hope you find what you are looking for!
