Hi folks
Planning return route from Les Ranchisses - Largentiere (Ardeche) back to Calais. We are thinking of stopping off in Falaise, with a view to visiting some of the WW2 museums / beaches etc.

We know we can't do it in one day and are looking for some guidance re route.

Do we drive up on A7 to Lyon then across on A89 to Clemont Ferrand and pick up A71? We know the rest from there. Or is there a good road from Largentiere area over to A75? We are towing, if that helps.

If you want a more interesting route, and less tolls, then go back to the D104 from Les Ranchisses, then up the N102 from Aubenas, N88, D906, N102 (again) wnich by-passes Le Puy and takes you across to Brioude then the A75. It's a route we use regularly. It's winding, but plenty of other caravnners use it without problems.

We still have our caravan in the Ardeche. Last year we took the caravan that way, to join our family in their gite in the Correze. We had a wonderful free pitch in a field adjacent to a vineyard!
