If this has been asked before, please direct me to the post.
I have the red and white striped sign for my bike carrier. I read somewhere that the stripes have to point in a particular direction - upwards pointing to the offside? Can’t find where I read it. Any ideas anyone?

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

It depends which country you are in. In Italy the Signal Board has to be a certain way up and made of aluminium. Perhaps check on the Fiamma website.

The sign is square, fixed at 4 corners. Google suggests most countries require the stripes like the “forward slash” on your keyboard: top right down to bottom left. But rotate the board by 90 degrees if somewhere needs it as “back slash”: top left to bottom right.
A motoring organisation would presumably also have the information.
