I have travelled 3 times from Dover this year and each time the French border officials have just waved away the forms I have offered, they have just wanted our passports.

The Tunnel has been the same, but you still need to have the correct paperwork available.

That's exactly what we did. Completed it on line and that was it. I think it's far easier to just do it than stress about not having done it when you're going through border controls.

We just gave Eurotunnel our passport details by phone
We printed our vaccines proofs but they didn't want them. Seem to be less UK outfits here so far. More motorhomes.
It's cooler with odd thunderstorms in Loire area. It was 40 at the weekend

That is something else completely. I tried to complete my API on-line last week and it would not recognise my booking ref. After trying over several days I phoned P&O who said there were problems on-line but not to worry about it, just turn up anyway.

i just looked at this, it wasnt something i had to do in the past.

i booked my crossings via the CAMHC so dont have the booking credentials.

i have just emailed the CAMHC to find out what to do.

it may be they will advise to just turn up.

i will take the time to complete the EPLF whether its required or not. i have done them a nuber of times for work related flights so it isnt a massive inconvenience.

theres only 6 weeks to go but what could happen in those 6 weeks?

more travel bans? war in Europe?

The API - advanced passenger info - has been requested by Eurotunnel for some years now, that's just passport info which is registered with them, they used to come along the train and scan your hanger barcode, but not the last 2 times we've been.

I asked BF about the PLF and this is the reply
I see I have to fill in the API before my sailing(awaiting a passport) but do I need to fill in a Passenger Location Form as well?
10:13 AM
Hello Graham, passenger locator forms no longer need to be completed. Kind regards, Jane

Please note Brittany are only able to add API through their website or over the phone for bookings made directly with them

BF told me when I was asking various questions about API, don't worry this can be sorted at check in no problem. Luckily I booked through them so will fill in when the grandaughters passport arrives.
