Just seen on Instagram that Mortimer passed away in May.
A real gentleman and very kind man. He will be missed.

Yes, very sad to hear this news.

Mortimer was a legend. A one of a kind, who loved meeting people from everywhere, always took the time to ask people where they came from and have a chat. We live in Kerry and visit his campsite regularly. Mortimer built it up into a fantastic site, it always has a continental feel. He had a great understanding of what its like to camp in Ireland in bad weather (it happens a a small bit!), hence the fabulous camper's kitchen complete with fridge, cookers, every pot and cooking utensil you could ever want and of course the cosy sitting room where many a musical session happens.

We will still visit Mannix Point, but it will never be the same without Mortimer. May he RIP, a gentleman and a visionary.
