It is a shame i can only guess the amount of money and work that went into organising this and feel for them.

I actually knew last week and have been searching ever since for somewhere else to go as we were due to go to the National.

Shame, we were looking forward to it, but the "drought" has made the ground soggy!

Have managed to get a place on C&CC site for the weekend-no electric though.

We weren't going but it must be such a disappointment for anyone who was going as most sites seem full now for the bank holiday weekend.

Yes, I was gutted when I got the e-mail. It was going to be our first National and the family were all very excited about going. Many other places are full now - I spent the day trawling yesterday.
We've managed to get on a rally over in North Yorkshire at the Jim Clark memorial rally in Duns so it'll be a motor sport weekend now instead!

We were at Tatton Park a few years ago at the National Rally and the ground conditions were terrible after heavy rain. We had to be towed onto our pitch and car and caravan had to be towed off at the end of the rally by a tractor. There were many outfits in the same position. I'm sure the decision has not been taken lightly by the CC especially after all the hard work which will have already been put in.It is better to be safe than sorry. What a shame.

We were also at Tatton Park and agree the conditions were awfull and got worse but i believe this time it was down to the venue not CC.

Sorry if I'm stating the blooming obvious. Is the Jim Clark rally not in Duns, Scottish Borders? I work in Kelso and it normally goes around here.
