Did you find it a problem in municipal campsites in France pitching with your 8ft wide caravan?
Never used any municipal sites however the one were we did make inquiries was quite happy to accept us. We tend to use ACSI sites in France and Spain.

When we were looking, we liked the Pegasus Grande, and the difference of 6' was noticeable, however IMO the messed around with the lounge too much and made the double at the front too narrow, hence the choice we made.
