Hey everyone, off to Spain in August with the caravan. Im looking for companies who do breakdown cover.

Any recommendations for companies who provide this?

Are you a member of the CAMC? then use their Red Pennant.

Red Pennant every time for us. Costly, but so worth it when something goes wrong!

Of course there's cheaper, but you just have to read the reviews of people who have used Red Pennant to find out how good the service is.

Depends if you want just the car covered or the caravan as well?

Most breakdowns cover the car breaking down and will tow the caravan as part of that. But if something causes the caravan to be untowable then that wont be covered.

Some companies will arrange recovery but its often classed as heavy goods and your looking at 600+

-------------
Post 1997 licence holder?

Max tow weight = Cars gross laden weight + Caravans gross laden weight.

These 2 figures must not exceed 3500kg. And the Caravans gross laden weight must not exceed the cars UNLADEN weight.

Unless the manufacturer has set a lower limit.
