We all read fuel figures churned out by the manufacturers, and we all know how inaccurate they are (ok for comparison I guess). So how about generating a list of REAL figures for REAL cars (not test engines running thin oil on a dyno.)

I'm talking real cars, real driving.

I'll start - HONDA CRV DIESEL   38mpg round town,  45mpg on a steady run, 30mpg towing 1300kg.

What does yours do?

Well done...you must have a light foot. I get 48mpg at 80ish on the motorway, and 31-33 when towing (1300kg)

Mind you these are the displayed figures...must check it for real one day.

Nissan X-Trail

Around town 27mpg

Long run up to 40mpg

Towing average around 24 mpg

Should add that I keep a database of fuel used and mileage so these are pretty accurate figures.

David
