A family-run holiday park set in the heart of the Pentewan Valley, ideally located for exploring Cornwall. A short walk from the beach, local village and with direct access to the Pentewan Valley cycle trail.
With 40 statics, 40 touring pitches, heated indoor pool, games room and onsite shop.
River Valley Holiday Park is run by a husband and wife, along with their young son. The wider family have been running holiday businesses within the area for over 60 years.
Job Vacancy: Park Wardens
We are looking for a Park Warden Couple to join our small friendly family team for the 2018 Season.
The successful candidates should be friendly and helpful with a high level of customer care and have the ability to work as part of a committed team. Problem solving and using your own initiative to adapt to each situation are also essential attributes.
The vacancy is for a couple to cover all duties including (but not limited to):
Taking, making and processing bookings on our computer system, computer literacy is essential, training will be given.
Grounds maintenance - to include grass cutting, strimming and enjoy gardening
General maintenance of the holiday park to include basic plumbing and handy man jobs.
Cleaning and monitoring our one toilet block over 5 days.
Evening reception duties over 4 nights to include closing of facilities.
Being able to tow touring caravans on and off pitches is absolutely essential
Full driving licence
Willingness to work extra hours cleaning caravans when need.
Previous experience as a campsite warden.
Hours and pay
Working hours vary depending on how busy the Park is and usually range between 30 to 40 hours each per person per week.
Hours worked are paid at the living wage rate. Each couple will work the same days each week with 2 set days off. Work will be expected on weekends, bank holidays and a rota for on call evening/overnight warden duties.
A pitch is supplied for the duration of employment so the successful applicant must bring their own motorhome or touring caravan, where electric and water are also provided.
The position starts in April and lasts until early October. There are no hours available over the winter months.
Interviews will be held in March.
