This campsite is situated within the marches in the picturesque Camlad valley, it is surrounded by welsh and Shropshire hills making it a walkers paradise.
In this area of outstanding natural beauty you can walk on Offa's dyke, the Kerry Ridgeway, the Shropshire way, the Longmynd or the Stiperstones, on any of these walks you will be surrounded by the best landscape the area has to offer,so come and enjoy.
The Horse & Jockey in Churchstoke is a family run pub with a spacious caravan & tenting park. There are 20 pitches,each with their own ehu and water tap.
There is a toilet block with wc and free showers, and separate disabled facilities. All pitches have views of the surrounding countryside.
The bar & lounge and dining room are 20 mtrs away and are open all day and is licensed till 1 am. Guest real ales are available in both bars and a draught cider is available in the summer months.the dining room serves from 6pm until 9pm serving traditional pub food. A Sunday carvery is served from 12 till 2pm, booking is advisable as it gets busy.
The public bar area is dog friendly and has darts,pool,and large screen tv showing sky sports.
Harry tuffins supermarket is 10 mins walk away,the chinese takeaway is 5 mins.
Our price for a tourer or campervan is £15 for the 1st night and £10 a night there after. Tents start at £7 depended on size and elu needs. For more info call dave on 01588 620060 after 4.30pm.

Within 20 mins we have the market towns of montgomery, bishops castle, Welshpool and Newtown. A little further away are Shrewsbury, Ludlow, historic Ironbridge and Telford
There are garden centres, museums, castles, country houses and farmers markets all within easy access. Further away is the beautiful welsh coast or the Snowdonia national park to take your breath away. If animals are more your thing you could spend a day at West Midlands Safari & Theme park or at Acton Scott working farm museum (the Victorian farm).
In Welshpool or Newtown you can access the Cambrian coast railway line, thought to be one of the most beautiful in the uk. if steam trains are your preference, try the Welshpool & Llanfair light railway.
Also there are many local events throughout the year, please enquire.

IF ENTERING FROM NEWTOWN YOU NEED TO TURN LEFT BEFORE YOU GO OVER THE BRIDGE SIGNED FOR WELSHPOOL AND WE ARE ON YOUR LEFT. IF YOU ARE COMING IN FROM BISHOPS CASTLE, CRAVEN ARMS DIRECTION GO THROUGH THE VILLAGE AND OVER THE BRIDGE TURN RIGHT FOR WELSHPOOL WE ARE ON THE LEFT .
