Camping Maisonneuve, St Jory de Chalais is a small, family-run campsite set in 26 acres in the Perigord Vert, Dordogne, within the Parc Naturel Regional Perigord Limousin. The owners, Russ & Lorna, moved here in 2013 from Hampshire with their young family. Tents, caravans and motorhomes are all welcome and there are mobile homes, a wooden chalet and wooden Pod available for rental.
Pitches average 100 sq m, bordered by mature trees and hedging, all with access to an electric hook up, many also have private water connection points. Hard standing pitches are also available, should you prefer.
Facilities include quality shower block with disabled facilities, motorhome service point, fully licenced on site bar/restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, kids' play area, private fishing lake, woodland/riverside walks, and free wifi. A village shop, bar, bakery and restaurant can all be found in the small village of St Jory de Chalais, just 5 minutes' walk away.
This picturesque campsite is ideal for those wanting a peaceful getaway, as well as offering plenty of outdoor space to keep the family entertained. It is a great base for exploring all that the Dordogne has to offer as well as being an excellent stopover (4km from the N21) for those on their way to Southern France, Spain and Portugal.

The Dordogne is a beautiful, unspoilt region with incredible landscapes and scenery. Rich in history there are many prehistoric sites, caves and chateaux. The region is famous for its cuisine, particularly duck and goose specialities, truffles, Bergerac and Monbazillac wines
Nearby is la Grotte de Villars (14km), some amazing caves which are well worth a visit. Closest chateaux are Hautefort (30km) and Puyguilhem. (15km)
A beach and swimming lake are available at le Grand Etang de Saint Saud just 15 minutes away There are many kilometres of cycle trails nearby, and canoes can be hired to explore the Dronne, Vezere and Dordogne.
Day trips might include Brantome (25km) Perigueux (45km), Limoges (45km), Oradour sur Glane (45km), Bergerac (75km), Sarlat (75km) and Bordeaux (130km).
Camping Maisonneuve is easy to find and access even with a large caravan or motorhome.
