Description
Pitches: 65
Opening Dates this year: 04/04/2022 to 01/10/2022
Galmpton Touring Park occupies a stunning location overlooking the River Dart and is surrounded by beautiful Devonshire countryside. Set just 3 miles upstream from Dartmouth, the park is on the edge of the village of Galmpton, which has a great local pub, an excellent butchers and village store. The park is central to Brixham & Torquay and close to the quaint historic towns of Totnes and Dartmouth. There is a frequent bus service linking these towns within walking distance, as well as many options of ferry services & a steam train all just a short walk from the park.
2021 SEASONAL PITCHES - Between 29th March - 4th October, only grass electric pitches remaining.
For 2021 the park capacity is reduced to just 65 pitches & suitable for caravans & motorhomes. The park is set in 10 acres of peaceful countryside and allow for a choice of grass or hard standing, with electric, and many are terraced to provide level pitches. There are also Service pitches with electric, fresh water and grey waste for that extra luxury, 2 of which are our Dulux pitches and offer panoramic views all season. The park offers stunning views across the River Dart from all over, for you to sit back, relax and enjoy.
On-site facilities include a large toilet and shower block, pot wash and laundry room. There is a play area for smaller children, outdoor table tennis and a park shop with all your essentials including local ice-creams.
The local area provides a huge variety of activities for all ages from sandy beaches and coastal walks to vintage steam trains and historic castles. The local towns of Dartmouth and Totnes offer numerous pubs, restaurants, boutiques & cafes to explore.
Nearby Attractions
A quiet base from which to explore Torbay's attractions, we are central to Brixham, Paignton, Torquay, Totnes and Dartmouth. With Broadsands Beach and the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway only five minutes away by car, 'Quay West' wet and wild waterpark and Paignton Zoo within 15 minutes, quiet walks and river trips, there is plenty nearby for children and adults alike. Surrounded by countryside we are a short walk away from the local village shops and pub. Access from the main road is only half a mile.
