Description

You are guaranteed a real break from the bustle of every day life when you stay with us. Our working farm is at the end of a no through road in the rural heart of the three counties. When you arrive you will feel yourself breath out as you take in the views of field upon field with very few houses in site. During the day you will hear the bustle of farm life; animals being fed, lambing, calving, tractors scraping up or harvesting. At night you will be enveloped by a huge sky and hear the hooting of Barn and Little Owls and the odd moo or baa as the animals settle down for the night. While at the centre of farm life you will experience a great sense of remoteness and peace at being far away from the world.

Our Tepee's are made by Hearth Works, the same that supplies yurts and tepees to many of the UK's festivals including Glastonbury. They are 4 man tepees but are best used for 2 adults and small children. We also have a 2 man caravan in the same paddock with the tipis to provide a dry space in case of bad weather. In the caravan you will find a fridge and kettle. Two Tepees and the caravan are placed within a good sized paddock with a loo and shower block. There is plenty of room to kick a football around or you can request to use one of the fields to play rounder's or cricket. There is seating for 8 and a bbq and a space for a camp fire.

We usually rent the whole paddock to up to 6 people for £60 per night and then charge £10 per night for each extra guests bringing there own tents. We have accommodated groups of up to 30 in this way.

The family go out on the buggy daily to check their herd of Hereford Cattle and welcome to join them. The farm dogs Kipper and Digger are a real hit with guests. That said you do need to like dogs to visit as they are around and if you don't like dogs this might be a problem for you.

You can rent the whole paddock and bring extra tents for a family/friends gathering.

A fantastic pub is just a mile's walk across the fields. Excellent for beer at the bar or fine dining in a pub setting with slab stone floors and beams it has a very relaxed atmosphere. The chef has a Michelin Star so you will need to book plenty of time in advance if you want to eat.

You can buy meat from the farm for your bbq and relax as you build a fire and and cook up a hearty outdoor feast.

We also have a Shepherd's Hut and and Iglu Hut both sleep 2 and have a kitchen and ensuite shower room with toilet. You can take either of these and add tents if you want to bring the whole family.

If you are using a satnav it will tell you that you have reached your destination about 1/4 of a mile before you reach us, either outside 'Oakgrove' or 'Berrowdine'. You need to drive on to the end of the road and follow the signs. You can drive right into the field and park next to the tipis. If you wish to park your car elsewhere on the farm that will be fine. Just ask where is convenient.

Take Straight Lane (the road to the right when looking directions at the post office). At the end of the road turn left, take the next left Moorend Road, and after 1.5 miles you will come to a flower garden with a post box and phone box and a sign post saying Nash End Farm. Turn right here. Go over the cattle grid and turn right again. Then drive right to the end of the road (1 mile) an
