We are delighted to be able to tell you that the AA have awarded us Five Pennants this year. The AA are a well recognised and respected organisation and in spite of not having all the criteria (electric barriers, warden on site 24hrs etc) they felt that the site and facilities were worthy of the grading.
We are not increasing our prices this year and we do not charge extra for holidays times and except for 'busy times' on our website, we always have pitches for those snap decisions to go camping!
We were awarded the David Bellamy Special Distinction Award for 2013/14, our second time. It's been given to us this time for our very environmentally friendly new loo block, David Bellamy likes to recognise 'best practice' and only a very few sites are given this accolade every year.
Thank you for reading about Fforest Fields and we hope to be able to welcome you here in 2014. Please read about us, if you have any more questions you can contact me on 01982 570406 or email firstname.lastname@example.org I am nearly always in the office and I WILL get back to you as soon as I can if you have to leave a message.
Including a disabled shower/toilet room, family rooms, washing up, laundry and a drying room, many people this year have said that our new facilities are the 'best we have ever used'.
If using satnav please refer to the home page of our website for the co-ordinates, we do not center on our post code.
Hidden in a secluded valley birds abound and with direct access to the woods and hills of the farm, walking and biking are popular with our customers. We have wifi and television but we are deep in the hills and neither are brilliant. TMobile, Orange and Vodaphone work well but other networks struggle.
There are many attractions in Mid Wales, famous for its lovely countryside, walking, mountain biking or just exploring in your car. It can offer festivals as diverse as Bog-Snorkelling to Victorian weeks. Within a few miles of the site are Llangors Lake for sailing and an excellent Rope Climbing Centre, pony riding on the Radnor Forest, a childrens play barn and a rally school! The famous town of books, Hay on Wye is only 15 miles away, hosting the annual Literary Festival.
The site is on the A481, four miles East of Builth Wells and is well signposted. We are two hours from the West Midlands and Birmingham via the A44 and three hours from Manchester and the north via the A470. Cardiff is only one and a half hours away via Storey Arms on the A470. Please be aware when setting your sat. nav to the post code that it centres on a farm about a mile from the site, stay on the A481, the site is well marked!
