Following Scottish government advice given on 22/3/20 concerning self catering properties and travel, we are closing the site until the end of April when the situation will be reviewed. We apologise for any inconvenience but in this uncertain time we need to put everyone's safety first and whilst our site has private facilities we understand that travel poses risks which are best minimised at this time to stop the spread of the virus and keep everyone safe.
For any bookings affected we are offering a credit so the booking can be rearranged anytime within the next 12 months. (Guests have been contacted directly about this). For future bookings which may be affected going forward, we will offer the same credit facility - so if you want to book a summer / autumn holiday you can do that with confidence. If there are any queries please contact us.
Stay safe and we hope to see you soon x
Runach Arainn ('Secret or Beloved Arran' in Gaelic) is a small, intimate glamping site on the south end of the Isle of Arran, Scotland We offer luxury self catering accommodation in two 20ft diameter yurts, and one 18ft yurt, each accompanied by a private bathroom. We are an ideal holiday destination for families and couples looking for a short break or a longer vacatio. With our proper double beds, wood burning stoves, firepits and sofas we are definitely at the glamorous end of camping!
Our site is set in a small orchard near the village of Kilmory where we have three Scottish made larch wood frame yurts. Each yurt comes fully equipped with all you will need for your holiday including bedding, towels, crockery and cooking utensils. The larger yurts can sleep up to six people, whilst the smaller yurt sleeps 4. They are ideal for a romantic break or as a base for an adventurous family holiday.
Outside each yurt has its own firepit and picnic bench. We provide a trivet and griddle for outdoor cooking along with sufficient firewood for your stay.
We are just 15 minutes walk from Torrylinn beach and a similar distance from the Lagg Hotel for a quick drink or an evening meal.
The shared utility area include a fridge, microwave, kettle, pot-washing and a washer dryer.
Prices start at £70 per night per yurt.
