Coed Derw Campsite is situated in the heart of the Vale of Clwyd, breathtaking panoramic views overlooking the length of the Clwydian Range - Moel Famau & Moel Fenlli in clear site. From the campsite view the stunning sunrise rising behind the mountains and witness the dramatic sunset over Ruthin town.

On site is Vale Country Club, our health and fitness club. Showers and toilets are situated inside the club
Due to the pandemic the spa is closed at present.

Nearby Attractions

Whilst you feel like you are in the middle of the countryside, we are only 1 mile from Ruthin town. You can take a 20 minute walk in to town or a 3 minute car journey. The road is paved all the way in to Ruthin. Ruthin is a historical market town and there are lots of little gems to discover.

The campsite is a great base for all walkers. At the foot of the Clwydian Range loads of walks are within easy reach, including the Offa's Dyke. A popular well known circular walk would be Moel Famau, a walk to the famous jubilee tower.
