Description
Pitches: Camping pods
Opening Dates this year: 01/04/2022 to 31/10/2022
Our camping pods sleep two people in two single beds that can be joined together to form a double if required. They are available to book for stays of two nights or longer. We do not accept pets and the pods are strictly no-smoking accommodation.
Dry and hassle-free, our camping pods have a mini fridge, electric kettle, sockets, LED lighting and underfloor heating. There are no cooking facilities inside the pods and most guests eat at the Grapes Pub that adjoins the campsite, or use disposable barbecues on the paved area outside the pod.
Fresh water is provided by a tap adjacent to the pods and pot washing facilities are available next to our shower and toilet block.
Your pod will be ready for use but please remember to bring all the usual camping essentials including your own bedding, sleeping bags, pillows, towels, plates, mugs, cutlery, outdoor disposable barbecue and anything else you usually take on a camping trip.
PLEASE NOTE: Our pods do not have their own toilet or washing facilities; you have free use the of campsite shower and toilet block.
The Grapes is our excellent village pub, just a 5 minute walk along the river bank from the pods and is very popular with our campers.
Guests love the convenience of not having to drive to eat out at a traditional country pub with friendly welcoming staff and atmosphere offering fantastic freshly cooked food.
Authentic pizzas are a menu favourite at The Grapes, along with a specials board alongside the main menu. Wednesday night is currently Thai food only, expertly prepared by The Grapes Thai chef.
During the summer months the outdoor entertainment area is in operation with tables and chairs for al fresco dining and the marquee for special events which are posted on The Grapes Facebook page. The bar serves cask Ales, flavoured gins, selection of wines, premium lagers and craft beer
Nearby Attractions
The Fylde is an area with beautiful countryside, wonderful walks, colourful village greens, award winning beaches and unspoilt coastlines. With its thriving market town atmospheres and delicious food and drink offerings, there's something for everyone.
Picturesque towns including Garstang, Poulton-le-Fylde and Lytham St. Annes are 30 minute drive from our site. The Lake District is under an hour's drive.
Garstang has a number of independent shops, cafe-bars and restaurants along with popular walks along the River Wyre and Lancaster Canal, complimented by the upmarket Barton Grange Garden Centre and Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre
Lytham St.Annes has an expansive sandy beach, Victorian pier, boating lake, bathing huts, historic windmill, golf course and stylish independent shops.
