Our campsite, for adults only, occupies an spacious, peaceful setting in a wooded valley in the Exmoor National Park in Somerset. Set alongside the sparkling River Exe and Bridgetown watermill, the campsite has beautiful views, an abundance of wildlife and many footpaths leading from our doorstep. It is a ideal location for camping and country lovers and is awarded 5 platinum pennants standard by the AA and 5 stars (gold award) by Visit England. Every pitch is fully serviced and has access to our TV system, wifi, electric hook-up, water and drainage.
In the National Park you will find red dear, Exmoor ponies, unspoilt villages, National Trust properties and beautiful gardens. The scenic North Devon coast and Lorna Doone Valley are also within easy reach.
Free fly fishing on site or at Wimbleball Reservoir 4 miles away. The area is ideal for walking (easy or challenging), biking, or simply relaxing. The campsite owners give tours of the watermill on most Sunday mornings.
The carefully maintained campsite covers 4 acres of level grass and hardstandings between the River Exe and our own mill stream. This allows every pitch to have ample space and enjoy its own section of the bank beside the fast flowing clear water of the river or the mill stream.
A further acre of our land provides for a leisurely stroll up to our weir, where dogs may run free and splash in the river.

There is plenty to interest nearby, including spectacular, heather-clad moors where the Red Deer and Exmoor Ponies run free, crystal clear rivers and streams full of wild trout.
Here in Bridgetown, we have one of the most beautiful village cricket grounds in the country, and a local heritage walk full of interesting details of our past.
