Description

Pitches: 16 Hardstandings

Opening Dates this year: 12/04/2021 to 31/10/2021

Westgate Camping Site is a small site set in upper Weardale (area of outstanding natural beauty). We have 16 hardstandings. The river wear runs past the site and there is a ford where children can play (cars also use the ford so children must be supervised)

Please contact me on the telephone number above and I would let you know what availability I think there will be - I am happy to reserve you a place. Please ring after 18:00 on an evening to catch me in.

Prices per night are as follows:

Caravan £19
Caravan with Awning £22
Motorhome/Campervan £19

Tents (including Trailer Tents) are charged per person per night.
NB: There is also a £20 deposit to pay per tent/family, returnable on departure.

Adults £7.50
Children (up to 15 Years) £3.50

There are 8 hook-up points available for tents (POA)

Nearby Attractions

There are lovely walks (there is a dog litter bin next to the main road). There is an outdoor swimming pool in Stanhope where you will also find some shops, and the Dales Centre. Killhope Wheel and Lead Mine and The Weardale Museum are nearby. A bus runs from Stanhope to Cowshill. Hexham, Alston, Teesdale, Consett are only a 30 minute car journey. Our nearest shop is 2 miles west on the A689 at St John's Chapel, we have a local pub in the village - the Hare and Hounds (meals by booking only).
