Studfold Caravan and Camping Park, with pods, lies amongst the dry stonewalls, traditional barns and grazing farm animals in spectacular Upper Nidderdale.
The Walker family has run the park for the past 60 years and pride themselves on the quiet family orientated atmosphere. The large number of repeat bookings is a testament to the sites quality.
Days spent at Studfold will create memories that will last a lifetime:
Bacon butties can be ordered from the cafe for delivery or pickup. Follow this with an adventure around the award winning Studfold Trail or for the adrenalin junkies; gorge scrambling, climbing, abseiling or caving expertly led by Lost Earth Adventures. Bespoke picnics can again be pre-ordered and delivered.
Back to the touring field for a game of Smite or to make new friends, pick 2 teams and put jumpers down for goalposts!
Once the children are in bed, safe and replete after toasting marshmallows over the fire pit, the adults can access the ‘outside world` with Studfold Wi-Fi or just relax and enjoy a leisurely glass of their favourite tipple whilst marvelling at the tranquillity of the Upper Dale and the star filled sky above it.
We have 38 flat, well drained, grass pitches, most of which are approximately 14m x 10m in size. All of the pitches in the first field, and eight of the pitches in the second field, have access to electric hook up.
We have four locally made, exciting glamping pods, situated at the edge of the field, each able to sleep a family of four (two adults and two children), or a maximum of three adults
We keep our toilet and shower block sparkling clean; it has been thoughtfully planned out and built with dry changing and private wash area for each shower, two baby change areas and disabled facilities.
The washing-up area is covered and has separate grey water and Elsan disposal points. Cloths, washing-up liquid and liquid soap are all provided, and you dont need any tokens as all these are included in your pitch fees.
There are laundry facilities and a freezer for ice blocks.
Wifi vouchers are available to purchase from reception and we have recently installed a couple of EV charging points.
The camping shelter is a much-loved addition to our facilities. It is an undercover, lit area where you can gather to eat, drink and socialise when the weather isnt behaving, complete with barbeque and pizza oven.
We have a small shop onsite at Reception that sells basic provisions, soft drinks, sweets, ice-cream, small toys and gifts
We also have the wonderful Nidderdale Way Cafe run by Sam, where you can enjoy an easy, delicious breakfast, as well as homemade snacks and treats throughout the day.
Our fun and mysterious Adventure and Fairy Trail is for the young and young at heart, with surprises and so much to see and enjoy, especially when lots more fairies come to stay for the special Studfold Fairy and Pixie Adventure event!
Off-site we are fortunate to be surrounded by fantastic circular walks; a great choice of restaurants, pubs and takeaways; and an extensive range of fascinating days out.
If you are able to holiday midweek during local school term time you will also be able to take full advantage of our money saving offers.
Nidderdale has been described as a ‘hidden gem` that once found will often be revisited. We look forward to welcoming you to Studfold.
