Wayside Holiday Park is a wonderful 5* holiday destination, close to the market town of Pickering with its famous Steam Railway.
Peace & tranquillity is abundant at Wayside providing a retreat in which to relax and recharge. This luxury Park is set in a rural gem of green pasture and lakes with wooded fringes perfect for those who want to escape.
We cater for privately owned statics and lodges with no renting or subletting allowed . For holiday homes and lodges the season is 8 months starting the 1st March and ending the 31st October.
Unfortunately we cannot cater for ad hoc touring or tents.
There is a green area to gather for a picnic, plenty of space in which to discover the local wildlife and the local pub is within easy walking distance. Well behaved dogs are welcomed.
We have full time managers and wardens always on site during the season, providing any help or advice to make your holiday as relaxing as possible.
Nearby Attractions
Your holiday home setting gives easy access to explore the Yorkshire Coastline from Whitby to Spurn Point, taking in Robin Hoods Bay and Flamborough Head along the way.
Perhaps the biggest attraction for the area is the North York Moors Railway which runs from the centre of Pickering all the way up to Whitby and runs throughout the season.
If you prefer stunning views whilst walking or cycling across The North York Moors, then Wayside is in a wonderful position for famous historical destinations like Rosedale Abbey. Dalby Forest, with its national cycling routes is only minutes away.
The market town of Helmsley is half an hour to the West, an excellent place to while away the hours and enjoy a coffee.
With the historic walled city of York just a short drive to the South West you can visit the magnificent York Minster and browse through the narrow streets, i
