Our 10 acre family site (including a large play area field) is situated on the edge of the picturesque village of Llanuwchllyn in the Snowdonia National Park, less than a mile from Bala Lake with its many water sports facilities. The peaceful spot is set amongst the dramatic scenery of the Aran and Arenig mountain range.
Local facilities include The Bala Lake Narrow Gauge Railway, whose Llanuwchllyn station, including shop and cafe, is near the site. There is also a popular village pub within easy walking distance.
The spacious park runs alongside the shallow River Twrch (fishing is free to our guests). The pitches are level and partly sheltered and the main toilet/shower/laundry block includes disabled facilities. Guests can choose their own pitch on arrival. (Specific requests are catered for whenever possible).
During peak periods the play area field is also available for camping and includes 7 hook-up pitches and plenty of open space in which to play - ideal for ball games etc..
The parks natural landscaping breaks it up in to several smaller areas, some adjacent to the river with an unobstructed view of the sparklingly clear river and all on level pitches with many partially sheltered. There are additional toilet and water point facilities in this area.
Dogs are welcomed and have their own walking area. Fires are also permitted, subject to conditions, in non hookup areas.
'This is a dream come true location for every kid as they can skim pebbles across the river allday and when they tire of this they can ..watch the driver shovel coal in to the engine'. 'Cool Camping Wales' by J Knight'.
