Description
Pitches: 11
Opening Dates this year: 01/04/2022 to 31/10/2022
Cei Bach lies 1.5 miles north of the harbour fishing village of New Quay and 5 miles south of Aberaeron harbour village. In a delightful, tranquil setting which overlooks, and has direct access down to, a safe, sheltered, sandy beach. Stunning views out to sea and across the bay to New Quay with frequent dramatic sunsets can be enjoyed from the site or the beach. A quiet, family orientated site under the same ownership since 1984, we welcome new customers as well as our loyal regulars who come back every season. Red kites can regularly be seen soaring overhead and New Quay is lucky enough to have a large pod of dolphins residing in the bay along with seals and other marine life. The site is situated just off the heritage coastal path from where (if you are feeling energetic) you can walk to Aberaeron, enjoying the panoramic views as it continues over the waterfall footbridge. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round for those who want to bring their faithful friend on holiday with them.
Please note: Through July and August we only take 7 day bookings commencing on Saturdays, and on Bank holidays we only take 3 night minimum bookings.
Nearby Attractions
A 20 minute walk along the beach at low tide takes you straight to New Quay harbour and from there on to the quaint village where you can find shops, cafes, bars and restaurants to suit everybody. A boat trip will take you out around the bay for a closer encounter with the seals and dolphins. Dylan Thomas was highly associated with New Quay and a designated trail has been introduced for those interested in following up his life history, including a visit to the Black Lion Hotel, reputedly his favourite drinking establishment. Locally made honey and mead can be purchased from a visit to the New Quay Honey Farm, where you can also learn about the magical world of the bee. Our reception is well-stocked with leaflets and information on the numerous other attractions in the area.

Owner Directions
We are situated off the A487 coast road south of Aberystwyth and north of Cardigan and Carmarthen. From either direction we recommend heading for Llanarth village and from hereon not to use SatNav as the quickest route is not the best road in. From Llanarth take the B4342 turning for New Quay at the Llanina Arms Hotel and stay on this road for approximately 2 miles until you pass the Schooner Park on your right. A little further on take the right turn signposted Cei Bach 1 mile. Stay on this road and once you have crossed over the hump-back bridge and driven a little further on, the road takes a sharp left. Carry on up the hill and take a sharp left. We are around the bend on the left (entrance barrier with access code required for entry).
