Baystone Bank Farm Campsite is a small family campsite situated at the foot of Black and White Combe in the picturesque Whicham Valley within the South Western borders of the Lake District National Park.

Whether relaxing with your family, having a base for activities, having a romantic break, walking the miles of footpaths starting right here or simply exploring this beautiful and unspoilt part of Cumbria we offer a fabulous location for your holiday!

With miles of pristine beaches just 5 minutes away this area offers a multitude of things to do, from simply getting out into the countryside, castles with huge gardens to explore, joining us here for a ride out with the UK's only British Horse Society Approved Heavy Horse Riding Centre 'Cumbrian Heavy Horses', or simply relax on site, listen to the burbling stream which runs through the site, get the BBQ going, and enjoy the tranquillity!

Be it camping (electric or grass only pitches), glamping in the bell tents (bring your own BBQ and bedding) or booking to stay in our own unique full electric Roundhouse accommodation with fully equipped kitchen which accommodates 4 people and we supply all bedding and towels, or a stay with your motor home or caravan with EHU we can cater for your requirements! We have a new area in the Orchard, our Bell Tent Village, taking our Bell Tents to seven, in stripesand colours for a fun festive look!

We have refurbished our toilet and shower facilities & washing up area. There is a well stocked small shop and Cafe where you can enjoy hot/cold drinks and food.

We welcome well behaved groups, (DofE, Expeditions etc) but please call us to book in. If you sneak a group booking in without talking to us we will ask you to leave, sorry, we want everyone onsite to have a family friendly respectful of each others space time here! Please read our Groups policy!

Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on leads due to the farms horses and other animals. Please read our Dogs Policy if you are considering bringing your dog.

Also on site is world renowned Cumbrian Heavy Horses, a unique riding centre in that they use the magnificent Shire, Clydesdale and other pure heavy horse breeds for riding...with rides to suit all abilities this can be a fabulous addition to your holiday! New for 2021 we are offering special children's short experiences, these can be booked onsite.

Baystone Bank Farm is also a working fell farm, we have Swaledale, North Country mules and a variety of other sheep, chickens, cats and dogs as part of our family!
