Visitors, especially large vehicles and caravans, should approach from the West along the South Newington Road. The roads in Barford St Michael are very narrow and not suitable for large vehicles and trailers or caravans.
The Manor House on the edge of the Oxfordshire village of Barford St Michael dates from the sixteenth century and the property is recorded in the Domesday Book.
St Michaels Church is opposite the Manor House and dates back to Norman times.
The Village Pub, The George, is just 5 minutes walk and is open in the evenings and Sunday afternoon.
Chipping Norton, Stow on the Wold, Burford and the Cotswolds are within a 30 minute drive.
Broughton Castle, and Blenheim Palace as well as Oxford and Wodstock are also within half an hour drive.
