At the east end of Evie Bay is the Broch of Gurness, one of the most outstanding surviving examples of an Iron Age settlement in the north of Scotland. Discover Orcadian life over 2,000 years ago in the visitor centre which displays fascinating Iron Age artefacts. Evie is on the main road and the North Sea Cycle route to the north of the island and the Brough of Birsay, and just over 10 miles to Skara Brae, making this a great base for your Orkney holiday.
