We wanted a simple campsite near enough for us to vist Stonehenge easily - and this site was just that.

Very helpful and friendly owners - we turned up without booking and were helped to find a site to pitch our tent, not as easy as it sounds because the site was suffering from the heavy rain in the previous couple of days. Only request was that we left the car on the hardstanding to save the grass - perfectly reasonable in the circumstances.

Small but very reasonably priced shop. Showers and toilets were perfectly useable, nothing special but clean and plenty of hot water. Very reasonable rates for camping. Small children's play area which my young son made the most of along with the other children on site at the time.

For a quiet, low key break would certainly recommend this and will certainly return if in this area again.

A lovely site, not too big. Part of the field roped off as it was still too damp but plenty of space.

Well stocked shop, if they dont have it you probably dont need it. Deceptively large store in the nearby village of Shrewton.

Friendly owners, good clean hot showers, all other facilities clean and tidy.

One party of youngsters got a bit rowdy on the Saturday evening, the site owner was out like a shot to tell them to be quiet and they crept about quiet as mice after that.

Will go again soon.

We stayed here because of the good reviews we'd read. They were right, this is a great site, very friendly atmosphere and great for children. Toilets clean at all times and good washing up facilities.
Very handy for Stonehenge, Salisbury & Warminster, all within easy reach. Would stay there again, for sure.

Spent a long weekend here over the August bank holiday with friends. The village of Orcheston is very picturesque and near to Stonehenge. First impressions were that this is a quite a small site with around 30 pitches. The site is nice enough, the grass was fine and we were able to find quite a level spot. We were quite close to other tents, but far enough away to maintain privacy. The shop was well stocked, but was a bit surprised at the list of prices outside the reception for things like charging a phone, even charges for a jumpstart!
The facilities need improving in my opinion. The showers and toilets are old and look uncared for. The shower I used had one hook for clothes which was broken. The water pressure was very low, resulting in a weak shower and the temperature was very variable, sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold. When I came to use a shower at around 10am the place was filthy and that's no exaggeration. It's a pity, because with a bit of work and care the facilities could be perfectly acceptable. This site would be OK for a nights stay and I certainly hope the owners spend a bit of money on the facilities over the winter.

Visited this site last year and found it very good, quiet but they had a very good shop on site, also internet hook up at a very reasonable cost.
it was a very good site for visiting the surrounding area and close to the main towns.
We hope to be back again some time this year

We stayed here for four nights. It was a lovely little site. Toilets, showers and laundry room where clean and well maintained. The owners where very friendly and helpful. Well stocked shop on site. Lovely walks over the Salisbury plains on which we saw wild deer. Good site for those with dogs. Only half hour drive to longleat safari park. We enjoyed are stay here and will return.
