Superb location for seeing Oxford. The Park and Ride bus service is a few yards away from the site main entrance and provides a rapid and frequent service into the city centre.

If that's too mundane, a boat service runs from Iffley (about 15 minutes casual stroll) straight into town -but check times of operation. They were a little random when we were there, but it was out of season.

The wardens were very helpful and friendly and any negative comments are the fault of the club, not the wardens.

The shower block was below expected standards for a club site. They are in poor condition and desperately in need of cosmetic and remedial surgery. Having said that, they were as clean as the wardens could be expected to achieve.

Our pitch was level and spacious enough, although the site does feel a little cramped. The site itself is tucked behind an outdoors clothing store (good value - an excellent shop) so the approach is not the most attractive or easy to access.

Overall, a good site for visiting the attractions of Oxford, but the club are not doing their reputation any favours. Could do better.

Clean facilities and maintained very well. However I did find the staff too strict with their rules esp with regards to the toilets being cleaned 1 1/2 hours, not good when you only just got in the shower. Still I always did say I wanted to be 16 all over again and they all made me feel it.
Good location for the park and ride if you need to get into the city centre, good information available at the reception

Excellent stay at this site, clean facilities and really nice helpful staff. Access to Oxford is easy, loads of buses within 2 minute walk. An excellent traffic free cycle route, through the park and through a bit of built up area, with very little traffic, along the riverside and right into the main street of Oxford with hardly any traffic whatsoever, takes about 15 mins. All on the level.
Pub about 5 minute walk which does nice food and good beer, chip shop a bit further along the road.
You can hear some noise off the railway which passes nearby but I think would only disturb the very lightest of sleepers. There is a camping shop just at the entrance to the site which stocks quite a range of products. This is a site that we will be visiting again.

A really convenient, very clean and well laid out site.  It lacks character and landscaping (its a flat, neat city centre site) but the location is excellent: easy to reach from the ring road, a 15 minute walk to town,  or a 5 minute bus ride from town (with buses running up to midnight).  Its important to book at bank holidays as it can be very busy: that said - the helpful wardens very kindly squeezed our tiny camper onto a camping pitch when we made a last minute decision to join family on site.

There are not many campsites in the Oxford area and this is a noisy one. The site is near the A34 which is a very busy route, so expect traffic noise. The site also backs onto a railway line, which is not very busy but again expect noise. On the other side is a milk delivery depot which has refrigeration units running 24/7 and delivery vehicles loading and unloading early in the morning. Unfortunately the site does allow dogs, which again cause noise.

The tent section is fairly bumpy, and ants are a real problem. While the wardens were sympathetic, I had to move location twice to prevent ants crawling all over the tent. There is a park nearby but it is not very well maintained and dog foul is a problem.

On the upside the location is in Oxford itself and walking into the city centre is easy. There is a small stream which runs down one side of the site which is nice. The shower block is well maintained and clean. There is a large shop on the front of the site for all camping / caravanning needs. Water supply is available. I have stayed in much better sites but for a city location it’s not too bad.

Great little site. Security is real good and really clean. The site is a short walk from the park and ride into Oxford for a real good look around and great shopping. So really good for motor homes.

Great place for the first time camper because there is a full camping shop on site so everything you may have forgotten even tents.

Close to the A road but even in a tent you will sleep like a log.
