Just got back from a great week at this campsite. We stayed on Gurneys Plantation which was only for tourers and motorhomes/campers.
We were put on, what we believe, the best pitch on the field. We were on pitch 20 which was at the top of the hill. The views to the sea were magnificent.
It helped that we didn't have a unit directly in front of us for 5 of the 7 days we were there. Upon arrival we had 2 days of cool and windy conditions. After that the sun shone for the rest of the stay.
It was always quiet at night even though the site was pretty full.
The facilities were mostly clean but found that they could of been a bit better. The push button showers were fine but once used and the floor was wet it was difficult to dress without wetting clean clothes.
If the owners read this please can you put more than 1 hook in the shower cubicles, even 1 more would make things easier to hang your belongings.
We all loved the site for its location, views, value for money. We would definitely go back, but would request pitch 20 again. It was not exactly level but didn't bother us.
Oh and the ice cream van comes round twice a day to empty my pockets of change.

If you want to explore north Norfolk, Cromer, Sheringham, Wells next the sea to name but a few then this is the perfect site for you, coupled with high standard shower blocks, sea views and a rural country setting feel to it. You can't go wrong.
Expect a breeze if you can see the sea though, we had some poorish weather on our visit and the wind really picked up on site, quite a few people lost wind breakers and gazebo's during our stay.
The shower blocks were lovely and normally well kept, in the peak period they began to struggle with hot water but that is to be expected on such a popular site.
Strict noise policy is in place which was peace of mind, the warden informed us that there is a phone number on a card presented to you on arrival which you can ring if there is any disturbance whatever the hour, he said that any offenders would be removed from site the following day and 'black listed' so they wont return. Harsh but fair.
No shop on site which is not a problem when you can walk to the local co-op in 5 minutes from the back of the site.
Plenty of space for children to run and play safely, plus two small play parks and a large field for them to run off all that energy.
We will without doubt be returning to Manor Farm, excellent site.

Site was easy to find, the approach road slightly narrow but not a busy road so no problems there. We stayed in 'Molls Meadow' as we have two dogs, which is a huge field with a couple of terraces around the outside edge.
The field is very uneven and we still found ourselves pitching down at the back even after using our blocks. The pitches were generous. There is a huge field set aside for the children to play in but disappointingly no separate dog walking area and no dog bins.
Maybe part of this field should have been allocated for dogs? We eventually found a field just off Molls Meadow but not until the day of departure!
The beach and shops are a good 20-min walk but the beach is lovely and sandy so worth the walk and is dog friendly. The on site toilets were clean and modern.
It was very peaceful and there was hardly any barking during the two days we were there, the worst problem was vehicles crossing the field too fast.
Having found the field to exercise my dogs in I would definitely go back.

A lovely site, we would definitely recommend it to others. We were on Molls Meadow as we took our dog and were on the top area - a bit windswept but we can hardly blame the site for the weather! Lovely views though and a good dog-walking field directly behind.
The toilet blocks were first class with large area to dry without getting your feet and clothes soaking! Toilets never ran out of paper, we never saw them dirty - a pleasure to use!
Local shops are within walking distance but a small site shop for your forgotten breakfast milk or bread might be a good idea. Plenty of space for the children and a good football field which was appreciated by our two boys.
Plenty to do locally - good beaches, lovely surrounding villages, Amazonazoo was very popular with our children, animal rescue centre, good pubs and fish and chip shops.
We also managed to find plenty of dog-friendly beaches, even in July. The beaches, we thought, were very unspoilt and untouristy. Good little beach shops selling everything you could need at reasonable prices and with friendly staff.
Visitors should definitely take the boat to see the seals at Blakeney Point - a lovely day, enjoyed by all the family (except the dog who hated getting on and off the boat!)
We did not see the owners much other than on arrival, not sure if they were harassed because so many people were arriving at once (first Saturday in the school holidays) or just shy but not were not very chatty.
Overall, an excellent site, couldn't ask more, worth another visit and would highly recommend.

After reading the reviews I was really positive about attending this site. I visited with my wife and two children under 5.
I, however, was slightly disappointed with the site. For me the site seemed to be a little overcrowded and there was little personal space between tents. For me this was a shame because if there was a bit of organisation then it would be a better site.
That said the site was quiet by 10 which surprised me for the number of people around.
On a positive note the on site facilities were of a high standard and it is a good distance into town with good quality shops within walking distance.
Personally not my sort of site and I probably would not go back

Absolutely loved this site. Loads of space, good modern and clean shower block with washing up facilities.
Large shower cubicles with room for clothes to be hung up. As fields some distance from farmhouse, there was a warden on site who rode round on a pushbike, just making sure everyone was okay.
Loads of footpaths and good walking. From the site it was a short walk along the track and you were in Cromer.
Two pubs in village. One allowed dogs in and we could sit in bar and order food.
Would definitely use again and recommend to friends.

Just back from a lovely 2 night stay at Manor Farm. We stayed on Marl Pit field which is dog free. Most of the serviced pitches on Marl Pit and the neighbouring Molls Meadow are flat with sea views, but are a bit exposed to the wind. Whereas most of the standard pitches are on a slight slope. We were lucky enough to pitch on a flattish standard near the top that was quite sheltered by the trees.
All the serviced pitches are numbered and have a good distance between each other. My only gripe is that the standard pitches are a “pitch where you like” affair and as the site was quite busy this resulted in some tents being quite close to one another, but the site did have a nice, relaxed feel to it. Yes, there were lots of children around but no one was being rowdy or noisy and it all dropped quiet at around 10.30pm. So quiet in fact that you could hear the sea.
There are two toilet blocks on Marl Pit. The top block, new this year I think, was the better of the two. Although it only had two showers and four toilets it felt a lot cleaner (I think more people were using the bottom block and unfortunately it got rather whiffy at times). The showers and hot water are free and the top block has a family shower room. Both blocks have pot washing areas and the bottom block has a small laundry and two freezers to freezer your own icepacks.
There is a good children’s play area just off Marl Pit field behind the bottom toilet block and a large field for ball games and kite flying. Another bonus is that you can use a BBQ as long as you raise it off the ground using the bricks which are by the fire points, and to the delight of my children an ice cream man came round every evening about 6.30.
There is no on site shop but the local Co-op is only a 10 minute (5 minute drive) away. Walk down the farm track away from the site towards the sea and turn left and walk thought the small industry estate. There is also a Morrisons which is a 10 minute drive (just drive the same way and turn left when you get to the main road (we found this was also the quickest way to Cromer).
A nice site with a friendly atmosphere.

To start with I would say that this site is a 'bit out of the way' as in no major route's to it (although that can be considered a good point), main advantage being it is a peaceful site, the only noise being from other campers/caravans (on a definate plus point all campers this week actually obeyed the 11pm rule, most nights it was quiet even before then!).
On to site then, the lady at reception was very pleasant and explained where to go precisely and clearly, the shower blocks are spacious and kept as clean as any other I have been to if not better, only queued twice for showers and these were not lengthy waits,
the children's play areas were good enough to keep the kids amused and there is also a field for kite flying, football etc. This is one of the few sites I have camped on where a club would probably spoil the site so yes I will be back, one word of warning though, check where you pitch as the wind is a bit unpredictable.
Plenty of places within walking distance that are quaint, seasidey but not over commercial, the local train service is excellent but on a slight downside we found that the pubs in Cromer itself were more 'child tollerant' than 'child friendly', (anybody taking their children on holiday will understand this and our 11 year old girl is well behaved)!
Local supermarkets, co-op and morrisons have all you could need to stock up. More than enough to do for a week in area that is why I will be back as this is a good base to get around from.

What a fantastic site. This was our first time visiting and our first time camping for more than 2 days, stayed for ten days and really enjoyed ourselves, We have 2 girls 8 and 11 who made loads of friends.
Playareas really came in useful and were rubish free and safe to play in.
The showers and toilets were really clean and warm, constant hot water and plenty of room in shower to dry myself (i am quite large) and 8 year old.
The ground is sloping but this was ok after we turned airbeds round and slept down rather than across (first time on a slope).
The warden was very friendly and helpful and stopped to chat even told us how to find light house when we were struggling to find it you can see it on an evening which girls found enchanting.
Will definitely be coming back next year and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing friendly site.

We spent 6 nights here over the school half term. The site was full for the majority of the time. We had an electric hook up and were in Marl Pit Field. The toilets were very clean and well maintained but there were only 2 showers in the ladies and 2 in the gents with a large shared family shower. This meant there were queues at peak times. However there were other showers around which were close enough to go to.
There was plenty of space for the children to play and noise levels were not problematic. The pitches were of a decent size.
The reception is a long way from the pitches and we didn't go there at all. Morrisons and the Co-op are both within walking distance although signs would have helped! There could have been information in the toilet block about the surrounding area and giving a map of the site because it is huge. An ice cream van came round the site twice a day which could have been annoying if at the wrong time!
There were fantastic views over the sea and surrounding countryside.
Overall I would highly recommend this site. The only minor irritation was lack of bins near the washing up sinks and in the toilets!
