Tidy, clean facilities as stated. Easy access from A64. Might need a long EHU lead depending where you choose to pitch and our motorhome needed levellers to help with waste drainage.
Wonderful far-reaching views towards castle Howard, walks in both directions from site entrance, bakery/cafe/deli and pub in local village Welburn, within walking distance. Pathway alongside country road.
Other attractions on bus route or by car.

Great communication with Sarah, the owner who is lovely and friendly. Stayed 2 nights - thank you.
The facilities are very good for a small site and very clean.
There is a lovely pub down the road and many places to visit in surrounding area.
I would definitely recommend a stay on this site.

Great site close to A64, road noise not a issue.
Nice views over farm land,
Short walk to village pub, good beer can't comment on food.
Facilities adequate for size & clean, good walks in local area,
Will be back.

Reviewed this site 2 years ago and returned this weekend. It's still as fabulous as previously posted.
The large, flat, well-drained field remains well tended. No actual paths, so not suitable for wheel chair users.
The facilities were clean and welcoming, as were the owners😂. The owners are brilliantly hospitable and helpful. This is everything that makes CS sites what they are.
This is a great spot from which to ramble or cycle, or in our case, to while away the hours.
Hard to believe that it's only a half mile from the A64 because it's so tranquil. For second time running, we were the only guests on site.
It must be one of the easiest sites in UK to find. Perfect spot👍

Lovely little site just off the A64. Clean facilities and relaxed atmosphere - able to pitch where I or how we wanted to, not regimented. Owner friendly and left you to enjoy your stay. Lovely walks very close by. Walked to Kirkham Abbey - have to cross the A64 but a lovely walk and found the Stone Trough pub which has lovely views when sat enjoying a drink or two. Turn left out of the site towards Welburn for further lovely walks. Very close to Malton which is a lovely market town and well worth a visit. Will definitely return to this site in the future.

Delightful site & owners. Literally, one minute off the A64. Site itself is very flat, no need for chocs or levelling. Facilities were as described, clean & simple.
Lovely walk through woods or wild garlic down to Kirkham Abbey, where we found The Stone Trough Inn, which was very pleasant, did food & dog-friendly. Only a mile walk to Wetburn village, with another pleasant dog-friendly pub. Within walking distance of Castle Howard & 10 minutes drive from Yorkshire Lavender ( which does not allow dogs).
Will certainly return

Quality site, good clean facilities including toilets and shower, pot washing area and EHU's. Very friendly owners. Site slightly sloping well drained. Acres of room and freedom to pitch how you want. Close to A64 but road noise not an issue. 10 minute walk into village where there is a pub closed for refurb whilst I was there. Nice relaxing site with plenty of room for children to play. Highly recommend this site.

Lovely site, registered for 5 vans but the field was HUGE with horses in the adjacent fields. You would need blocks as the field was uneven. You do get noise from the A64 but after a couple of hours it didn't bother us. There is 1 shower & 2 toilets, clean & tidy. Its about 40 minutes into Scarborough, Malton & Pickering / Flamingoland are a short drive also.
At only £15 a night inc EU we will be back later in the year. Free range eggs were available from the farmhouse

The site if fairly easy to find and is close to the A64 – not so close that you can see the traffic, but if you strain really hard you will hear it as background noise. We did not find it disturbing – you certainly cannot hear it inside the van. We thought that the location was great, you are 40 minutes at the most from the coast – either Whitby or Scarborough, Pickering and York are also a short drive away. Malton is only 5 miles away and the village pub is just down the road. Fresh laid eggs are available from next door.
The field is just off the brow of a hill and is flat and gently sloping, the ground was lush green and smooth because it is also a part time horse paddock, awning pegs went in easily, but it was not muddy underfoot. To one side there is a small coppice and to the other 3 sides you have views of rolling fields and paddocks.
This site is a CL for 5 units, but the facilities (2 toilets, washing up facilities under cover, shower room, fresh water, chemical waste disposal and electric hook up) all were clean, tidy and in good condition.
The owners were very friendly and keen to stress that they are relaxed about how you pitch and there are no lines laid out – but there is plenty space for everyone, the field is huge infact! Whilst there was no formal children’s play area the owners were again keen to stress that the field is for everyone to use and children are allowed to play with bats and balls and kites and other outside toys, as long as you stay away from the other units - so take your own entertainment and you will have great fun! Because it is smaller site this site would suit people with kids that enjoy the outdoors and can make their own field games, anyone looking for a clean and quiet site or anyone wanting a base to explore all of the different things that North Yorkshire can offer.
The acid test is would we go back? And the answer is a resounding yes.
