I'm unsure whether or not this review counts, as we stayed for a week in a static caravan. Thank God we did as it was the same week as Boscastle was hit by the floods and the weather in South Devon was about the same as North Cornwall.
Being keen campers we looked around the site; for tents it was quite level, in parts terraced.
The toilets and showers were spotless.
There is a good indoor swimming pool & a small childrens playground, both by the very airy reception.
Our caravan was 1 minutes walk to the excellent Blagdon Inn, which does good food at reasonable prices, although the drink prices were a touch OTT. The pub is, I think 15th century, with thatched roof, a good sized beer garden a family room & friendly efficient staff.
There is lots to do nearby, the beaches at Paignton and Goodrington are great for the kids, good sand for sand castle production! plenty of rockpools for shrimping.
The cliff walk at Goodrington looks beautiful at night, tastefully illuminated with different coloured lights. Babbacombe model village is great for kids & adults, if you visit during the day you get a free pass to go on an evening when everything is lit up.
We would come here again, next time under canvas.
