A well placed very pleasant site near a waterfall and natural rock pool which is just a short stroll through the trees.
A ten minute walk down the hill brings you to the village pub which also serves meals and a spar and a bus stop with buses running to places of interest.
The site itself is fairly basic, only one shower, but this didn't prove to be a problem as when we were there most motorhomes and caravans used their own facilities.
There is a meter for the showers which used old pound coins obtained from, nan, the site manager. Good hot shower though.
There are several taps for drinking water and a place for emptying chemical waste, this could do with a sign on it.
The site would benefit from a place to wash dishes as there is just an outdoor cold water sink.
All in all a good site for stopping off to explore this beautiful part of North Wales.

This is a hard review to write, don't want to say anything nice and keep this site to myself, HOWEVER. What a place, can't comment on the site facilities due to the lockdown.
The Site is perfect, no phone signal, no internet connection, peace and quiet, clean air bird song and the sound of the river.
Brilliant walks from the site along the Dee to Corwen. Decent pub in the village and a well stocked Spar across the road.
Only thing to look out for is it's a single track road to the site, so beware if towing.
If you want a totally chilled break, this is the site for you.

This is a wonderful campsite in a beautiful location. We loved the waterfall and were very tempted to have a swim. Excellent dark skies for star watching.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and keep the facilities immaculate. During our stay we visited Portmerion, travelled to the tip of the Llyn Peninsula, Anglesey and got the Steam Train to the top of Snowdon.
We hope to return to this excellent site. Purchased a Welsh phrase book to learn a few words. Diolch yn fawr iawn

We visited here over the Easter weekend and loved the site. Very peaceful, it was nice to wake up to the sound of birds and water from the stream! Basic site but good sized pitches and clean bathrooms (only 2 toilets but this wasn't an issue as it was fairly quiet) Short walk into village and nearby pubs though they were shut the only time we ventured across! Nearby Corwen is worth the 5 min drive with decent pubs and takeaways and restaurants. Had a lovely stay, such good value and some beautiful scenery and walks. Only downside was the limited hot water, especially at the washing up sinks but it didn't spoil our stay. We very much enjoyed exploring the stream and waterfalls and will definitely be back.

Delightful and laid-back. Lovely owners. A lovely walk by the stream to the waterfall and swimming hole. 5-minute stroll to the village and a short drive to Corwen for shopping, eating out, take-away's and cash point. The heritage trains run from Corwen to Llangollen with a stop at Carrog station. Will definitely be back

A very quiet site, just one seasonal on and the rest of the site empty. There seems to be development work with further pitches / hook ups being added further down the site.
Pitches were hard standing, level, several water taps and a tv connection. Electric is 6 amps but that was more than enough.
Loos / shower are very dated but very clean. The chem disp is a short distance away at the entrance where the grey water disposal is also situated.
Plenty of walks from the site, the waterfalls are just a few minutes away behind the owners house, further walks into forest are well sign posted.
We paid £15 per night, showers are extra £1 in the slot.

This site is in a picturesque setting surrounded by trees with the sound of the waterfall to relax to. It is only small, which adds to its attraction, no rules but all visitors respected the quiet ambience. The facilities are basic and clean. There is only one shower for ten pitches. Each pitch is designated by a low chain link fence and is plenty big enough for a caravan, awning and car. We liked this idea. Some pitches are hard standing and all have hookups. The owners are friendly and helpful and gave us instructions of where there were good walks and places to eat and drink. There is a lovely walk by the stream to take the dog. Llangollen is approximately 15 minutes drive away with plenty of pubs, eateries and small shops. It is also where the Llangollen railway starts. This takes you through lovely scenery to Corwen stopping off at several stations in between. It is easier to catch the train from Corwen to Llangollen and back as Corwen is only 2 1/2 mikes from the campsite. You can also walk from the site to Corwen along the old railway track. This is a very easy 2 1/2 mile walk along level ground. The Prince of Wales in Cynwyd serves decent beer. The nearest places to eat are in Corwen where there are cafes, pubs, and various take aways.

A delightful site set in a quiet location, only the sound of the river that once provided power to a corn mill. Facilities are more than adequate with two toilets one with a shower. The site is all level with hard stands for caravans. The village of Clnwyd is within a short walking distance and has two pubs and a post office come general store. Its a perfect spot for bird and nature watching and there are plenty of good walks off the site. Mr and Mrs Jones are the nicest people and are very helpful. We will hopefully return to this charming place.
