We booked here using the Sun Holidays cheap breaks and we got a bargain. An 8 berth 3-bedroom static for 2 adults, one dog, from Monday to Friday and including entertainment passes for around £90.
All previous correspondence with them was very straightforward and handled very well and the same went for check in. This was quick with no hassles and the lady told us about the site.
We did go in September out of holiday time, so the park was quieter than normal, however everything was still open: The bars, restaurant, the shop, the pool, the entertainment, the arcade machines, chip shop, etc.
The caravan was really nice, it was very modern and had everything we required for the weeks holiday. The heating worked very well which was required on the wet day, however we did have an issue with the boiler losing pressure and therefore not putting out hot water, this was frustrating, but did work most of the time, but when it didn't it always seemed to be when one needed to shower. Reception were informed and planned to fix it.
The park itself is completely static caravan occupied and there are a couple of small play parks dotted around, but there were not many open spaces for ball games, bikes, etc. It was mainly set to concrete roads and grass surrounding the caravans.
The pool was nice, nothing special but perfect for an early morning swim. It was warm enough, however my one suggestion would be to have an adult only time, because even at 08:30 there were kids in there mucking around and getting in the way of swimmers trying to do lengths.
The bar area was reasonably priced with the usual drinks on tap and in bottles and the food looked reasonable, however we did not eat in there. Even though we were out of season they still had the usual holiday park entertainment including Bingo and dancing bears. We did not hang around to watch this.
There is a Londis on site, which was reasonably priced for essentials, although there was another shop around the corner that was slightly better value, but not a lot.
You can see Fantasy Island from the site as it is not far away at all, this was shut during our stay so cannot comment if this would be noisy or not, however the location meant it was very easy to get to on foot.
The beach and its associated walks are just a 30 second walk from the park entrance, across the road, up the slope and there you are. The beach is huge and dogs are allowed out of season. There is a promenade which stretches for miles and we walked this a couple of times and was a pleasant walk.
Skegness itself is too far to walk really, however you can get a bus, or drive as we did. This took 15 minutes in the car. Skegness is ok, typical seaside town with the usual seaside town shops, cafes, etc.
Locally there are many places to visit, although we did not do much other than walking and relaxing from the site, so cannot really comment too much on the local sites.
Overall a great site, but I would not return during main season as this is just not my cup of tea, however I would return out of season when most people are at work and school, and therefore making the whole area quieter.
